60 secs with a still crt image does a little damage to your retina i think because my vision's not going back to normal very quickly at all. worth while experiment, just won't do it again. the pic goes into colour whenever i look at the dot though atm :D

The photo is the same, its just that in the begining its the negative form of the picture...so when the picture changes, you can see the colours, but only until you look away, because then your brain 'forgets' about the negative colours

It looks like reverse photography. If you look at the color picture it is actually a negative. When the colors disappear then you are seeing the actual black and white photo. They are the same picture. Very cool.

The picture actually fades from color to black and white...just very subtley. Very cool, but it's not an optical illusion and doesn't contain any science.

you stare at the dot when its got weird colors...then the picture turns to black and white...but if you dont move your eyes you see the black and white picture in color. It IS an illusion, not fading...you missed the big picture, but I understand why, the instructions wern't greatly explained
