      trust me i'm from Italy and i know for sure the lap time of Imola circuit is 1'24" launched, that means about 1'28" from 0 mph on the start line. if you check the time you can see the f1 takes about 1'43".. that means Schumacher had a huge margin!! He actually did not push at all (as you can see from the slow exit from the Rivazza turn - the guys at the radio probably told him to slow down otherwise he woud take over the road cars well before the finish line compromising the spectacular ending).
