The two fastest American production cars go at it. Stock: 2006 Z06 $70,000, 16/26 MPG, 505 HP. Ford GT $150,000, 13/21 MPG, 550 HP. This Z06 has an intake/tune. Stock, the GT is barely faster on the 1/4, track and top end.

    You Z-06 guys crack me up. To say your full of crap is an understatement! You can tell this is a poor-mans corvette video. I've had both, even an 02 Viper ACR. The Ford GT makes you vette clowns not only look bad, but anybody working behind the deepfryer at McDonalds can have one. Say what you want The Ford GT is hands down the college quaterback, rugby champion,Bad ass. Iv'e had them all, youre all full of crap!!! Period! Plus people look at and love the GT, NOBODY looks at a vette, Sure the corvette's a good buy, But if you want that, buy a GTO, It's damn near as fast and like the vette, it's a WALL FLOWER!

    i dont know if you checked the subtitle nimrod, but it says the GT is faster stock. Anybody that knows anythign about cars would know that the z06 is the sweetest piece of american ass you can get for 60-70k bucks. Drop $5000 on a lingenfelter supercharger and youd have the fastest car on the road with 65000 bucks left to throw at a fuckin FORD

    Intake and tune on those cars are ridiculous. add more than 30 whp.

    They weigh less and have nasty gear for roll racing. They have been i nthe 10's with just sticky tires. They are nasty. The ford gt is stock vs a modded z06. They are both badass.

    Put out by a chevy owner? The ford raced and lost everytime....your telling me that ford owner wasnt pushing his car? Your stupid hes flooring it and shifting quickly what else should he do? Power shift his 150k car and probably 10k dollar tranny? the bette pulls in 3rd gear. Get over it. The ford will probably start rattling apart soon anyway.

A Chevy lover that bought a super expensive Ford GT and got some guy to drive it and some girl to sit with him while he drove it so he could show how superior the Vette was just to make a video so you could point out the obvious mistake he made in not hiding his motives?   • some good points, but

    it is very hard to say which is faster stock-for-stock. they are very powerfull cars, and getting two drivers to draw 100% performance out of both, in the same race, can prove difficult.

    i am more of an Import person, but the Z06, and GT are two of the few domestics i respect. i have driven both cars, and i have to say that i was more impressed with the GT. the noise the engine makes as you let off the throttle at higher RPMs, and the revs dropping, is amazing.

    The Corvette is a sick ass car, for the price you cant beat it. And this video shows that just becuase you have fast car doesnt mean you are going to hit the time that is in car and driver or other magazines, THOSE ARE PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS. So on the road it matters on the driver as well, that is why this is very believable.

    Also, look at the price difference. If you want a car that is just fast, just buy a civic and dump like 25k in it and you will have a 9 sec car.

    In conclusion, suk it easy.
