A Tribute Video I made for my homeland to show off it's beauty. Damn I miss Egypt so much. Containing Images from Cairo, Alexandria, Luxor, Aswan and Sinai.
I have been married for 6 years to an Egyptian (from Cario), & I have been to Egypt. Yes it is true that if you are a tourist some will try to take advantage of you if you don't know arabic your the normal cost of things there. In Egypt not every one has money, so they do what they need to do to live. But this happens EVERYWHERE in the world.
BUT everywhere I went everyone was very nice and caring. Egypt is a beautiful place and there is so much to see. Egypt is a place that everyone should go to at least once in life, it is amazing.
It is really sad to see that people here say such rude things about people from other countries, which leads me to believe that these people don't know what they are talking about. I am around Egyptians (husbands family) here in Wash. DC everyday and they are more of a family to me then my own. I am sorry for those of you that gerenalize your have just had one bad experenice and believe all egyptians are this way. but we all know that if you think about it EVERY culture/race have people that are as you all have said - liars, fakes, disgusting, ect. I hope you all open your minds and think before speaking of others you do not know. -- The Wife of an Egyptian.
thanks but im dont see all that why ??!! {ah el 3bt da msr 3loa el wad shlo 3bet wla ahbl 7d e2olyy}

P.S. Beautiful music, too :)
I'm genuinely surprised about comments concerning Egyptians' truthfulness, i truly believe that they aren't lying in the first place and that u are just misjudging their expressions, or that because u've went through one experience which u might've not even gone through urself and just heard off of someone, then u take that experience and generalize about the whole country... we Egyptians always like to have a laugh, we are probably even the funniest out of the Arabs(our films and soap operas will be the judge of that) for example, when that US trooper talked about the Egyptian who said that he's jump hundreds of time, the Egyptian was probably making a joke... its something foreigners wouldn't understand the same way the whole world misunderstands the Arabs, wether they misunderstand Islam or misunderstand our politics or culture, on the other hand we have our perceptions too... like we have our perception of freedom while u have a perception of freedom that u can do anything with fear of consequences or without the fear that this freedom is endangering the rights of others.
may peace be upon u (al salamo Alaykom)
thanks a lot tamer, gr8 job man. As an Egyptian, i'm proud to say that this is quite an accurate depiction of Egypt. Although there is so much more to Egypt than that! 4:46 minute can never discribe Egypt, not even all the web space on the internet can describe Egypt most accurately, there are so many more buried treasures, and unexplored sites that still remain a mystery that are in need of excavations... its just magnificent!

The video and the book show the paradox of beauty and poverty, but also the fortitude of a country that has been oppressed through history.
Long may you reign Egypt!
I admire your resilence and you are right to be proud.

By Sparks59 1161255348 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWell Egypt is a nice place but egyptian people overall r such liars, it is to sad that his country has such fucked up people. never a met an egyptian and he was a good friend they alys want something, their might alot of good egyptian but fucked up overal
By CravingInsomnia 1161203168 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveSadly those you are talking about are the locals who are after tourists. They would do next to anything to get some forgein currency. Next time please remember that not all people are the same. If you have socialised with a few Egyptians that turned out that way then too bad for you, I my self do not see anything wrong with the people here in fact I happen to find them kind hearted in most cases.
By yehia18 1161276513 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI have nothing against anybody of the Egyptians, I just want to share my experience with Egyptians at work.
Well, I've been working here in Qatar for like 7 years now and I have encountered a lot of Egyptians at work and a different other nationalities and arabs from different places. Now, some egyptians yes they are nice. But, the big but is, most of them, we're talking about 90% of them are Stupid, Ass-Licking, Indescent, Idiotic, Assholes.
You wanna know why? I don't think you wanna know. You sure you wanna know why? Well, ok.
Egyptians - if they want to get a high position or high salary even if they don't deserve it, they invite (bribe) their boss into a party with lots of paid guests (bitches) and have some fun. They do this on a regular basis to keep the relation. They are disgusting in everyway.
They always act as if they were the boss (wake up, slavery period is over). They always pretend they know everything. That's why arabs from other countries dislikes them. In fact, nobody likes their attitude. They really have a serious attitude problem.
but who are here in egypt are not like that, youare talking of the corrupted kind living abroad so they learn some bad skills & they aren't nice people to you or even to other egyptians,so if you want tojudge a whole nation for the people you've met in your job ,so they are bad ofcourse, but if you came to egypt you will met the poor class which still kind people.
By seedo201 1201181169 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWould be nice without the arabs. When you pass the canal you always have these liars knocking on your cabin door saying: letter to you sir. There is no letter, it is all lies, they only want you to open the door so they can try to steal your things. Most shipping companies try to take strict precautions for their vessels passing the canal due too much fraudulent behavior by the locals.
By jon_on_line 1161223882 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI was stationed there. I worked with Egyptians and they lie like a rug.
I remember doing a Airborne operation with a pack of Egyptian paratroopers. I asked one guy who spoke english how many jumps he had. "Ohh, hundreds my friend, hundreds". Our stick was the first one of of the plane so we got to see them from ground view when they jumped. It looked like someone was tossing out dead bodies. They all went limp from fear.. Turned out as we were told later that that was thier first ever jump. Egypt airborne troops are not volunteer. The get picked out of line, you, you, you, and you. your airborne. They get a few days of ground school and then get tossed out of a bird.
It was funny to watch.
You see the US troopers jump and all of them are in perfect form as they exit. Doing checks during decent and good PLF landings.
The Egyptians looked like rag dolls being tossed, no checks, some screaming, lots of praying, no turns into the wind, hit the ground like a 100 pound sack of S**t .
I wish a had a video camera that day.
are poor guys pushed to military which they dont want to & no money for training so they just pushed to jump from there first day after recruitment, but the US troopers trained well by alot of money eating food by money could feed a whole egyptian barrack.looks fit from good feeding & jumping in perfect form bec. they are entered army willing to jump & fight.
By seedo201 1201288181 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethis is evident anywhere... its not like embedded in our society or something... u just haven't the right people, plus u were probably talking to the merchants would tend to sell u as u were ofcourse a tourist if i'm not wrong... don't make stupid generalization judged on a small experience u had... plus if u want liars go to the US u'll find there an interesting chap there called George W. Bush, u'll know what i mean... just jokin, peace

By realeminem2 1161675834 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveLast year we visited Egypt to see its beauty, so here's a little story during our stay there.
1.) When we arrived at the airport the customs officer demanded some money (bribe) from us otherwise he won't let us pass - so we paid him. (is it because we are asians)
2.) When we took a cab the taxi is fueled with LPG - located on the trunk. By the way the cab driver for a tip.
3.) We rented a car thinking we could save some money - but every where we park people there they just can't stand not scratching somebody's car.
4.) We took pictures around the pyramids. We also took pictures with some camels there and the egyptian guy again demanded for more money - 3x more than what we have agreed.
5.) Every single day, something bad has to happen. In fairness, Egypt is really a beautiful place. I just can't understand why people there are turning their own country into trash.
I pity Egypt and most of all I pity Egyptians.
first thing i don't wanna look like i'm taking only the good and throwing away the bad, but here goes... u have to acknowledge the fact that Egypt is still a developing country so there are bound to be lots of poor people and in terms of corruption, well thats evident in every single country (and u're lying to urself if u said thats wrong).i can't judge ur experience with the customs officer, but other than most countries, the officer ask u if u have anything to declare... and once in a while they pick a random bag from any traveler and do a security search of the bag, and if they find in the process anything that needs to be declared they also make u pay the customs or tariffs for (and i admitted they do put some weird quotes on lots of products sometimes). another concession i have to make is with the scratching cars... i really don't know what thats about, and that LPG natural gas fueled taxis are true
By Adrenalin_Junkie 1161514838 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removewhy does no body realize that the pyramids where white and not brown, cmon they were made of mable they were white in the past and that is a proven fact.
