"Gift" is taken from "Poems about Love and Life and Staring Out of Windows at Trees" by Anjali Paul. For those of you who like me, did not automatically know the difference between a sen ryu and a haiku, a Japanese friend of mine explained it to me this way - a sen ryu is a haiku without the weather! That means, without the weather metaphor - otherwise the poetic form is exactly the same.
