    yeah 8 per second is quite normal... i believe the world record holder goes at an average of 13 per second for 60 seconds... That's a lot of punches / strikes / hits. My sensei goes between 8 and 10 per second most of the time, and before you go slagging him off for being a crappy non-fighter... he's ex Royal Marines and 5 times national champ kick boxing, built like a brick out-house and I've watched him dismantle concrete walls with a few punches... We all call him Bulldozer...

  • Not fake, but only good for shows...

    As far as I know it...there are tonnes of martial artists in this world, but half of them have never been in a real fight before. And for the other half that has been in fights they are the ones who lose all techniques and resort to punching recklessly in the air hoping to caught a break which becomes UFC. This guy has fast hands and all...but with only enough power to bruise the opponent maybe. It only takes one solid punch to the face to knock someone out.

      1) The martial art being practiced is called Wing Chun. (The art Bruce Lee learned before he created Je Kung do.)
      2) What you're seeing is an excercise and a routine form.
      3) Wing Chun is a close contact fighting style that concentrates on the centerline of the body. Actually Wing Chun is very affective and there have been many full contact tournaments to prove it Bruce Lee himself has entered and won numerous.

      I spent years in the martial arts, and yes, about half the guys I trained with had never been in a real fight. The other half I have personally seen throw some pretty awful techniques in a fight.

      You've obviously never actually practiced the art or been around someone who has.
      That man has obviously been training all his life. His hands may be moving fast, but there's enough force behind each blow that if he hadn't restrained himself, he could have bruised up his sparring partner very badly.

      So imagine this, you try to beat someone up, and before you can even land a blow, they've already slammed a finger into each eye, broken your nose, and elbowed you in the throat--Im serious, it's that effective.
