The world is a hard place
a magician is just making it a bit easier on us. We (or at least me) dont do magic to see if we can get past you skeptics' critical eyes. Its so that we can enjoy ourselves and all others who only wish to be dazzled and dumbfounded. My goal when i perform is simply this, if I have held your imagination, and completely spun it around in that 30 second performance, Ive done my job. Its not about the tricks, its the expression you get from that spectator who, on the inside, is like a child again. Im not going to critisize you for saying its fake, but I will ask, instead of looking for a secret, look for enchantment. That is what magic is truly about.
