Missing the most important part!
Nothing worse than reflatting immediately after fixing a flat. After you inflate the tire to find the flat, place the tube next to the rim and see where the flat was in relation to the tire. Then check the inside of the tire for a thorn or other sharp object. Check both directions - if the flat was at 10:00 from the stem, check 2:00 also, in case you reversed the tube when holding it up.
