It's an optic effect: the cube is able to bend light like a lens. Notice that the ball and the arm travel along the same path and angle. With the way the camera is positioned, it is quite possible that the wall behind the cube be still visible while the arma and ball are not. It is just a matter of angle. I am not 100% about this, but it seems to make sense. Anyone with something better?

If I'm wrong, then god knows what it is that forms that illusion. As I've so far seen Xray balls, coats and of course boxes like this one. Look it up on Metacafé, type in xyray.

This isn't possible with mirrors or possible to perform live.

Ild say he has good eye for detail and better printer. simply printing out image of the cubes showing and tape them inside the cube, bringing the back images to the front.

this is dead simple. in one of my video's i put my whole body thru myself. using the same technique. Check it out its in my profile.

that is self-reflective glass, i got a big pane of that in my house, its cool to see the look on peopls faces when you dissapear, i also got custom armor so its like invisable( p.s im a glass maker too so i know the secrets of the trade)

if you look carefully at the back, bottom, middle of the box at 20 seconds, you see a refelection of light right? well if u keep watching that spot, at 22-23 seconds, the reflected light dissapears, why?

it can be said with a fair amount of certainty that all kipkay's box is is a series of polarlized lenses with perpendicular polarity. do some research. light gets through when its vectors are realigned by the second or third filter. the light that would normally get through from objects in the center are not passed through the extra polarized lens, and are therefore lost.

how do you do it

but I got you on this one. It had to have been done in post. When you place the box over your head, you can still see 1) The other side of the box (you can see that at anytime, also) and 2) your hands on the sides of the box. If something is interfering with the light reflecting off of your head, it would also be interfering with the light from the back side of the box, and from your hands on either side (as they are seen through the front panel).

You know, the kind they have in interrogation rooms like in CSI...

HE USES MIRROWS. AND MAYBE LIGHT.

It's called Keying and Masking objects, in something like After Effects or other such video programs. Still cool to see though.

It's got one more clear panel going diagonally thru the center. If he showed the sides, you'd see it clearly.

It 's a clear "cube" that has an "X" in the middle of it. Look closely at the sides and it's visible.

you can see a reflection of something small and white on the box (center to the left)... it disappears right before the camera zooms in.. so it was a camera cut.. as for the box, probaby a printed image of the wall behind that's on the front of the box. my 2cents

Wow, I've been doing close up magic for a few years now and I can't quite figure it out. Noramlly I would say it's a mirror but you can see the background through it.

When I consider the possibility that it bends light around, causing the photons to travel around the clear material, and then escape the material when they are at the exit point as though the material were simply transparent, one problem arises: the inside would be dark. If all the photons that hit the clear sides travelled around the inside of the box, not through the center opening, then the inside edges would appear opaque, because none of the light from outside would get in, except that which got in the two open sides. It therefore must be a computer effect. And some other guy here was right: you can see the pixels freeze, besides.

its a cool effect and it does exist..for all you magicians, there is a trick where they use that kind of surface and its plastic, and when u pass a pen underneath, it dissapears..it really does make it look like nothins there, not sure how it works, but when u buy the trick u get that special plastic..

i think its fake coz look at the shadow of the hand in the box it doesnt show out it does...thus i mean its edited and they get a painted box...
however maybe it can block shadows out ? who knows- i dont have this box here.

soy de peru y no se explicar esto en ingles asi que disculpen. lo que el hizo fue crear un cubo con lentes (como los que tienen las lupas pero mas delgados) y hizo que los focos de los lentes coincidan en una linea recta. Si intentan poner un objeto exactamente en el foco de una lupa veran que se ve a traves del objeto, a esto se le llama "imagen en el infinito". (el foco es el sitio donde se unen todos los rayos)... porsiacaso soy de peru y tengo solo 12 años.

I think in the box theres a mirror reflecting the box the mirror goes from the angle which was on the floor the closest angle to the camera untill the upper angle the one beside the wall.. and the ball runs on the other side of the mirror

who didnt know what this is let me explain. This is a cube with lots of mirrors in it. You can see the other side, but if you put anything in the middle of it you wont b able to see it cuz of the bending inside of it.

ok this is just my theory but u know like cloning on the computer where u overlap 2 videos well i think its kinda like that he just overlapt just the box and and he moved his hand behind the box witch in the origional vid u would see his hand or he might have just overlapt it with a picture ~watch his shado~

at about 21 seconds a reflection in the box very suddenly disappears, I'd say it would be done by computer, cant see it being possible any other way

The box isn't straight and when you try to look sideways through it yoi cants see through. Same if you try it with aquarium(or what's it in English)

Its fake, look when he puts his arm in, you can see at borders, that he cutted out from the video, when there was nothing in, and replaced it when he putted in his arms, simple as that

u will see that the top edge of the box is not straight. and crooked. what he use was adobe photo shop. he had live film and freed the frame and took the touch up brush and copyed the wall and pased it on the box so it looked real..

actually u are all wrong, this device is called a magnatrove cube and it consists of severial mirrors placed in the corners of the box, creating a very cool effect!

i think it's fake because his shadow, the shadow of his arm went through the box, so light passes through. it could be just a piece of paper, but he proved it was glass. we can tell because his shadow didn't look weird, it wasn't broken up or anything. you can also tell that it can be a fake by the box, you notice that the box is perfectly vertical. this may be because if you've edit movies before, you'll know that most movie editing programs only edit in squares, in other words the lines on the box would have to be vertical so he can edit it. the only thing that can explain how this happen is:
- it's fake and he fixed it or,
-his arm and the ball have so much mass that they bend light and bend it back to normal somehow, but that's impossible.

He posts a video like this that basically is him sticking his arm behind a box and he makes $1000. Not saying he doesn't make some good one's but he has a great formula for getting people to look at the retard vids too.

As crazy as this sounds, it's called an xray box. It literally views right through the same width of itself, the box in this case. Pretend it was 15cm, it has been designed to see right through 15cms. And don't say this is crap, because I've seen them before in shops in Japan; my friend actually bought one. It is simply an Xray.

well actually the transparent box uses the aid of total internal reflection and refraction of light to invert the view of wats behind the bos infront of wats inside and therefore wats inside isnt visible thats all were the creator of the bos used the aid of light rays to optically trick ya
