Rooms101.com is spearheading an effort to get the U.S. goverment to distribute $1,500 in the form of a stimulus or rebate to each American household. The stimulus would be used for a vacation. The rationale is 3 fold: the hospitality industry is in serious trouble and needs a boost; the local destinations that the families travel to would be stimulated; AND Americans are just simply burnt-out and despearately need a vacation which may be at least one thing that is wrong with the economy as a whole. The cost here is roughly $150 Billion. Compared to the $300 Billion Citigroup got or the total $11.5 Trillion handed out by our goverment so far, we aren't asking much. After all, it is our money. Why shouldn't we help ourselves and the economy at the same time? Why does some faceless, mismanaged corporation deserve our money? This plan makes more since than anything our elected officials have done so far. Get on board, watch the video and then go to Rooms101.com and join the petition!
