Carnival Pride To Launch Baltimores First Year-Round Cruise Program Monday, April 27.

Baltimore’s first year-round cruise ship, Carnival Cruise Lines’ 2,124-passenger Carnival Pride, arrived at the Port of Baltimore today.

Carnival Pride’s Baltimore-based program features six-, seven- and eight-day cruises to the Bahamas, Caribbean and Florida, with prices starting at $599 per person.

Carnival Pride will carry more than 115,000 passengers a year from the Port of Baltimore. The port estimates Maryland’s annual cruise industry economic impact will total $152 million and 1,550 jobs.

Introduced in 2002, the 960-foot-long Carnival Pride features 16 lounges and bars, three restaurants, four swimming pools, a 14,500-square-foot health and fitness center, and a wedding chapel. Guests are served by 930 crew.

Carnival Pride is scheduled to depart today at 5:30 p.m. on its inaugural six-day cruise from Baltimore.
