Firstly the sword is a light sabre, secondly when you use the force powers you get exausted it takes alot of concentration to use the force, so the sabre is for fighting without using the force. also its fun to fight with a sabre isn't it? I sure enjoy it.

Maybe its for protecting for certain blaster rifles but he sure dosent seem to need it. Well, maybe he was just using it (we didnt see what happened before or after) and for protection of certain blaster rifles. Or SHE just like the soft glowing light and the cool sound.
If I had a lightsabre I would make sure everyone could see that I was a yedi with a cool lightsabre!

Except for the part when the character hits the floor with the saber and makes everyone fly WAY too far, I think Yoda is capable of doing all those stuff. Using Force Push and Force Grip, that is. I don't think he'll use the Lightning, though, as it's used mainly by Dark Force users.

Yoda is far capable of doing all of that and more, that is rudimentary stuff that most Jedi could do really, Luke does far more powerful stuff in the books even.
Like bringing an AT-AT down and imploding it's head, walking on lava, going into hyper mode and moving so fast that his single lightsaber looks like ten moving at once.
Only reason Yoda never does any of that is because he doesn't like too and thinks such an overt abuse of powers would lead to the Dark Side very quickly.

keep in mind that this clip was called "Force Powers Pre-Vis" basically meaning, the force powers in the game before the visuals have been completed...hence the reason only force powers were shown

Everyone knows that KOTOR took place in the OLD republic. Why would there be stormtroopers?

The clip is just showing off some of the abilities and how the environment reacts. Is this force will replacing the Light Saber? No. There will be a balance in the game of course. The Force like these consumes the limited Force energy, and once the Force energy used up, it will take a while to recharge it back. Meaning you can't use these power all the way. You still need to use the Light Saber as your main weapon, and The Force as supporting skill.

the force is your main weapon.
the lightsaber will be like that shitty little pistol that you only use for the unlimitted ammo.
remember in this game you will have to single handedly take down AT-ATs and star destroyers from the ground.
acclimators only, i believe, but still.

c'mon now, it's the anti gravity hand drop. beats an old fashion hand shake any day! and it is soooo believable! ha!ha!ha!
