This video is on par with the in-game gameplay graphics.. Got the game yesterday from my pre-order with gamestop and got lucky with another copy for my brother from Fry's Electronics. They had 30 for sale and in 1 hour completely sold out. And to the person who made the comment of:

you're a complete idiot for making assumptions like that, must be a Sony fanboy. The game has a complex control system that even hardcore gamers would take some time getting used to. The game has an amazing cover system and the AI is extremely intelligent, they will flank you and they move as a team. I've only scratched the service of this amazing game, currently on act 2 and the story has already gotten me sucked in.. happy gaming to 360 owners.

First of all, I was getting out of video games. All I owned was a PS2 and I was bored with all the games I had. Then, I went over to my friend Marco's house and it was my first time seeing an Xbox360 in a long time and my first time in HD. I arrived and my friend had shadows under his eyes... "I pre-ordered this game called Gears of War and got it three days ago, I havn't slept since." Instantly my expectation were set high. I was not let down. I was counting the hairs on Marcus's beard. My friend informed me that all the cinematics were done in real time. I found no evidence to dispute with him. I havn't had that invigorating a rush from a game since Perfect Dark for the N64. And for all you who say the trailer is pre-rendered, I don't really know whether it is or not. But... It really doesn't matter, the game looks exactly the same. Don't post anything about how the game looks until you've played it in 1080i or better please... you don't know what you're missing. This game alone inspired me to buy an Xbox.

People watch this video and think "Wow, this game is going to ROCK!" What makes you think the game is going to rock? You didn't SEE the game.
I'm really tired of these game demos that are nothing but a pre-rendered movie that doesn't show what the game itself looks like or how it plays or anything.
The Gary Jules version of the song is from the movie Donnie Darko, by the way.

The enemy he's fighting emerged from inside Earth. It's a race that lives in darkness and has been monitoring humans and our society. They emerged waged war on humans, and the game starts you 14 years from that day and you play as Marcus Fenix (the guy in the video). This race thrives in darkness, they can see in the dark and some track you just by sound and smell. In this game, when night falls, you must stay where there is light, or you die. So the lights on the armor and gun only helps them locate one another in the darkness since the Locust race see in the dark to begin with.
