Cyclists: in middle of road AND cycling abreast, both illegal and dangerous
Man in car: Trying to knock cyclists down with car door = attempted assult. opening door while vehicle is in motion = passenger offence.
In all honesty it is terribly unlucky that the young chap in the car was struck so brutally and life endingly, yet he was trying to endanger the well being of other road users. The only thing that brings sadness to me is the fact that the boys mother will have to wake up each morning for the rest of her life, to a child with nothing of a human face.
