64 surfers made up of 32 locals plus 32 internationals. The Von Zipper trials, held from the 2-6 May award a wildcard into the main event for the winner. A mini WCT in its own right, the Air Tahiti Nui VZ trials are comprised of the most respected and revered big wave surfers from around the world. The winner will get a spot in the Billabong Pro which begins on May 9.
