You are brilliant. Yes we Americans are pathetic. The nation has risen from nothing to be the most powerful nation on earth because we are all fat dumb and lazy according to the rest of the world.
What does that say about you?

...that we Europeans, for example, have free healthcare, better standard of living that you Yanks, better people, less crime, less war, fewer guns, less polution, better cars, better early-mid schooling, fewer people in prison, etc, etc, etc.

I'll tell you why America is the most powerful country in the world. Same reason why the USSR was (tied with USA), and why China might become so. Why? Because the people have no power. All the power is in the hands of the govmenment and the giant corporations, so they can shape the country anyway they want. Bush was decrared president even when he lost the first vote, and then the second time round??? I smell a biiiig poopy.

So you keep your big army and your big corporations. See in Europe the people have the power of the vote (true democracies) and we choose how to shape our countries, and we choose what we want, such as free healthcare. Tell me: Did you choose Microsoft over free healthcare? Did you choose guns and gang culture over nice green cities? We'll watch your Holywood films, but that doesn't mean we agree with your way of living.

I'm sure there are other 1st world nations from outside Europe who would say the same thing, like Japan, Australia, etc.

Americans are indoctrinated with a blind sense of patriotism. You know, keywords like FREEDOM and JUSTICE. Your country is far from reaching any of those objectives. In Britain, for example, we are free to say ANYTHING we want about ANYONE, including the government. Here we have the freedom of information act, where as a citizen, I can ask for any information I want to do with what the government is doing (excluding top secret and army secrets ofc). In the US the government can arrest you and inprison you without trial. WTF? Justice? Hah. Wake up people. Look around you. Stop voting for who tells you that they can make you rich. Stop thinking materilisticaly, and stop chasing the proverbial carrot on the stick that your government is putting in front of you to control you, and think about happiness and love. Vote for who can bring you prosperity, good health, and peace.
We, Europeans, don't hate you, we don't like what you are doing to the world. Thw world is not yours to f**k around with. You have to share it with the rest of us and with nature.
