      I agree this must be fake. While it is possible that a design flaw could have caused the gun to accidently fire when a hot breech was closed, the fact that a civilian safty officer is present (clad in yellow) suggests that the soldiers wern't on their "ninth yard" and were actually firing on a cold barrel. Also, the casual demeanor of the other gun crew members (and saftey officer) as they walk away after the incident suggests that a catastrophic accident did not just injure one of their colleagues.

      the "civilian" is an instructor. That's why the guy didn't know what he was doing. It wasn't in the heat of battle. It was practice firing, but he still definitely hurt. Even with padding. crayzmofo tyhinks he has a good point but padding can only do so much.

      about the casual demeanor. You only saw one guy being casual. He was probably too shocked to know what had happened, just like I was for a second. But after I though "Wow", then I though "Man that had to hurt". And that is why he was calmly not casually approaching the victim. In the military you are taught to be calm at all times.       if you really "fix these guns" you should know that you guys sell your weapons to 85% of your allies including us Aussies...we have the 155mm version i think and are in the process of replacing our STEYR with the M4 and i think we bought a few F/A-35B's recently too..so umm i think my point has been made :)

    The gun goes off... and everyone is a lil dazed 'LOUD NOISE'. And then you see your buddy on the ground...

    ur like... 'wtf are you doing there buddy?' And then you look at your friends who don't know what is going on... so there isnt much urgency. Your friends don't seem to be panicking (cos they dazed like you) and so your not panicking.

    I've been in this type of situation (HIT EXTREMELY HARD BY FAST MOVING LARGE OBJECT)... i thought I was gonna die... and I couldn't scream! (COMPLETELY winded). No ones screaming or panicking... and so your friends don't do nothing but watch cos it happened so quick they don't know what is going on!

    If the cannon hit into the chestbone... he woulda been fucked up!!! hospitalized if he survived. He would be extremely lucky (as I was) if it struck him just below.

      This clip goes for... what.... 16secs.

      The gun doesnt go off til about 8secs. By the time the camera moves up to see the gun again (at of clip): all 3 soldiers have moved of to their buddy.

      So they weren't slow to react. In 8 seconds they were off screen and with the wounded soldier. That isn't bad considering their circumstances.

      ie. It happened very quickly and they weren't sure what was going on.

      Also if you look at the clip these are not Asian guys, and they are firing a Russian gun. So I doubt it is Korea or Taiwan. It is probably some part of what used to be the USSR. You know Russia or one of the other places like that.
