A teen-age fitness buff successfully ended his attempt to break the world record for sit-ups Sunday after completing 45,005 within 59 hours, a witness said. Mark Pfeltz, who started his quest at 4 a.m. Friday, stopped at 2:15 p.m. Sunday, said Mylinda Hunt, 18, Pfeltz's girlfriend and the official observer for his assault on the record. Pfeltz stopped after completing 45,005 sit-ups, eclipsing the 43,418 sit-up mark established in May by a California man, she said. August John
