Hidden Camera Prank Going Bad [13+]

I think that it was a very funny Video, the ending disturbed me, I hope that was just a cap gun. I live in the United States and I own a Gun, I also own a pair of shoes and socks and a Bicycle. The Gun is for protection, not to make me tougher, just for protection, i'm not looking to do something stupid, like what I saw in the Video, its just for protection, nothing else. I'm alive today because I have a Gun, I was almost robbed and killed, but since I was able to convince the would be robber to find someone else to rob and kill, only because I was pointing my Gun at him, did he think of something better to do. I didn't hurt him, and he didn't hurt me. Sure there are some of you that will say that they would have shot him, but i'm not you, I like to keep it simple and I can live with that. I'm here because I like to laugh, I don't think that I could keep laughing the rest of my life if I hurt someone.

It's an old reverse prank. The prank was actually pulled on the guy in the mailbox. It was all a setup to scare the crap out of him.

On Switzeland they have at least, one rifle on each house, but the crime rate and the deaths by shoot are low like any other european country. ¿why? because they aren't AMERICANS and they use the guns just for olimpic competitions. it would have been a pretty good idea for a commercial, but the way it turned out is a little too chilling for my tastes.

It was a commercial for a random printing company. the idea was along the lines of "we know you don't like surprises, so we'll give you exactly what you expect, and you won't ever have to pull a gun on us."

dunno if that was real ammo but if it was then F**k sake for the poor guy in the post box prank....& as for the use of firearms a fence should be put around america & YOU should all be shot as you seem to love them so much..

I work for a production company, even in a small shoot we all wear matching shirts with the name of the production and CREW on the back and are standing by justout of shot in case anything went wrong. as soon as he reached for the gun he would have had 20 production assistants on him, i swear even on a 'hidden camera' show.

I've seen this video before. The version I saw earlier was longer than this one though - it had a text in the end that I believe advertised a (life?) insurance company of some sort. I can't remember exactly.

Yet the video can be pretty shocking before you understand what's really happening.

First, snopes said it's not real. Second, if it were real, wouldn't people be running and screaming? That usually happens when someone is forced to fire out in public. Third, if you have ANY idea about guns, you'd know that that was way too quiet to be a real gun. Fourth, the video is a bit grainy, but that doesn't look like a revolver. And if it isn't a revolver, then why are there no shell casings coming out? (He's probably not even firing blanks. Anyone who knows anything about blanks knows that sometimes there are bits of wadding that still exit the barrel, which could do some harm. Plus, that guy would be totally deaf in there).


And the most important part. Guess what? You do editing AFTER you shoot the video. What kind of person would be able to sit there and edit a video with cheery music, when his friend gets shot in the video? Come on, be realistic here. The commercial ends with the sentance that translates out to something like "We know you don't like suprises." or some silly catchphrase like that. It's just a harmless commercial, calm down.

I laughed when I realized what was being "done". The only thing I wish was different was one of the commenters from that video "kid gets pranked" (by his father and he cries because the computer scared him) was in there...you know the ones...the soccer moms that point out every little thing as child abuse and have fat porker kids that get beat up in high school. This has all the appearances of a fake snuff film. Poor taste on the part of Meta café on not clearing this up and on the part of the advertising agency. The Only possible justification for this ad would be for gun control.
Technically there are no shells ejecting from the 9mm or larger caliber gun there is very little recoil and no pink mist of the blood splattering there are no dings on the side of the metal container, since bullets would fly through a body at that range. There are air guns that can look and perform like this namely the Russian Skif A-3000.
A word to the wise is when filming such stunts for fun and or work have safety personnel with whistles, bull horns and clearly marked T-Shirts saying film crew. If possible have some police presence however concealed, which could react to such an unexpected event.
