I got a chance to try out my friend's Canon 5D Mark II (see http://5DMarkII.info ) for a few hours. I've been wanting to check out the HD video capability of the camera, so I went to Dead Horse State Park (in Cottonwood, Arizona) to try it out with my Canon 600mm lens. Although there weren't many birds out that morning due to wind, I was able to test out the combination at the hummingbird feeder. This video shows what's possible using the HD video of the 5D Mark II and a super lens. It was really easy to do, and the quality of the picture is great. You'll notice a pause near the middle of the video - that's when I took a still picture - the camera stops long enough to take and store the still image, then automatically continues to record video! Very cool! More info about the 5D Mark II can be found at http://5DMarkII.info and you can see some of my better photography at http://EdsNatureImages.com
