Principles of plastic surgery are being used to treat acne and even cancer. Dr. Daniel Daube is a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. He says lasers have expanded from limited uses to many different uses, and it may be the solution for your skin problems.

"There are German physicians now using this for acne. A single treatment with Photodynamic Therapy for juveniles with cystic acne, they were getting 80% response rates," Dr. Daube said. He now plans to do the same study in our area. Candidates would be patients who have failed conventional therapy such as antibiotics and topical cream. Those who participate can not have used the drug Accutane. Dr. Daube says the procedure will "most likely" not "be covered by insurance."
