Kenshiro Abbe Memorial Event May 2005. The first session is with Henry Ellis Sensei...... For me the proudest moment of this day was the great sacrifice made by William ( Bill ) Woods Sensei who was the personal aide to Abbe Sensei, despite suffering from a very serious illness he made the supreme effort to pay his respects to the memory of Abbe Sensei. Sadly Bill died just a few months later. On the other extreme, the BAB chairman Mr Vincent Sumpter refused our cordial invitation as a VIP guest, stating to the BAB executive committee " If you insist that I attend this event I will resign " ....
