    My favorite of the 3 "anthems" - America, God Bless America, and the Star Spangled Banner. All the singers are from the county-music industry and represent a great cross-section of that industry. This song, IMHO, has the best balance between a country of strenght AND peace.

    God HAS shed his grace on us. Let's be good stewards of it.

    "Fantastic" country where millions of people are suffering and don't even have an health insurance, enough food, good houses etc.
    A country that spends billions of dollars on Star Wars or to pay a war to secure oil supply, but cuts on social welfare.
    Where the political elite (Bush, Rumsfeld, Cheney, Wolfowitz, etc) are notorious for their arrogance and ignorance.
    Also a country that violates human rights, don't respect
    international laws and in a rapidly pace is isolating itself.

      Just about every country in the world that has fought for independence has some militaristic verses. US, France, Italy, to name a few. Countries that didn't fight for their independece have songs like O' Canada. They are all beautiful for the deep rooted meanings.
