- It might be....
  some sort of motion detector/camera or the camera man was very far and just zoomed in. Plus look at the way the camera oscillates at the end, it was probably stopped by a spring & damper. Remember, that these rockets aren't going as fast as bullets, not even close.

armour piercing fin stabalised discarding sabot ROUND.
APFSDS Round or similar. fired from 120mm tank gun. first bits dropping off are the bits that make it fit the tank gun. Once fired they create drag hence they are disposed of.

The way it was recorded
The way it is recorded is using a electronically conrtolled mirror that rotates to follow the track of the projectile.
At the end of the run you see the image shaking due to the sudden stop of the mirror motion.
A fast speed digital recording camera is recording the mirror image. It is a lot easier to make a mirror follow the track than make the whole camera follow the track.
Technology from Hadland fast speed image recording equips or similar manufacturer.

It's not a Discading SABOT round and it not a rocket. It's simply a fin stabalized HEAT round (high explosixe anti tank) I drive the tank that fires them.

This is not a Sabot Round (sub caliber) this is a 120mm MPAT (Multi Purpose Anti Tank) round fired out of a M1 Tanks with a smoothbore barrel. Over 1200 fps, this round utilizes a shaped charge upon impact much like the HEAT round.

Hi-speed
The cameras used to get shots like this are ultra-high speed. A movie you'd see in the theatre runs at 24 frames per second. This sucker runs at several hundred frames per second... a film canister gets loaded and zipped through in no time by a mechanism with one hell of a lot of torque. More frames = cleaner still images, and a better flow to the moving image. If you're designing weapons systems, you have to know what they're going to do, so this'd be a big part of your research. Pity the bugger on the receiving end!

- The numbers
  are painted on during firing trials. When the tank round is fired, it is filmed and the numbers identify various sections of the round to determine the speed of rotation and identify sections of the round for analysis. It looks like it is an APDS round - Armour Piercing Discarding Sabot Round. Not a missile.

  and I cannot find any reference to it. However the word MISSILE can be found very easily.
  I served for 25 years on Tanks and projectiles fired through the barrel of a Tank Gun are known as 'Rounds'. Although the true definition of missile is 'A weapon that is forcibly thrown or projected at a target, but not self -propelled' and could be applied to this clip, colloquially it would be known as a 'Round'.
