Featuring Allen Keng of Team Ryouko. A bottle-smashing kung fu battle between two fighters over a not-so-friendly bet of $40

Grewal Clan - Ruby, Stacey, Jagger
hey how can i get in touch with these guys im producer i like to talk to them
By highoctane 1163698492Hi highoctane, this is Tyler the producer / director of the film. E-mail me at vendetta_film@ yahoo.ca. I'd love to talk.
By eos_pictures 1163699535Good job. I am also a film maker and I have always wanted to shoot a fight scene with guns and martial arts and cool stuff with a low budget. I definitely pick up some film techniques from you. Cheers.
By greatmoney 1163568073I'm always glad to receive criticism from a fellow filmmaker. If you're ever shooting in the Toronto area feel free to give me a shout.
By eos_pictures 1163654923Great to hear from you buddy! Thanks for the kind words. All the best to you
By eos_pictures 1163445421its allen keng from team ryouko that winner but only a movie its not real -.-'' someone wrote u killed a guy for 40$ are u kid ? -.-
By teamryouko1 1220703623if you get a chance check out my video, I have a custom made puppet that is swordfighting
peace
i don't see any story line in it...not other than fight 4 few bucks....
By guesswhowho 1170240198The format that this was shot on was Panasonic DVC Pro. I'm not sure what the actual model of the camera was. There's no way that I can count the takes that we did. Hehehe.
For the bottle breaks we could only do 2 takes each (only had 4 breakaway bottles) and we rolled 2 cameras at a time for those shots and any of the harder stunts to aviod the need for multpile takes. So the number of takes ranged from anywhere between 1 and 20 for each shot. Shots where one of us have to catch a bottle and then continue fighting obviously took many takes to get right.
Good questions. Thanks.
Tyler,
Good film! Look forward to your next production. Maybe next time you will kick butt :)
The Thornbury gang.
...from Toronto? If so, kick-ass!!! If I meet any of you someday, i'll join your hordes of screaming fan-girls xD
By Shindono 1163887056I prefer Final Cut Pro when it's available to me but I cut this on my home PC system which runs Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5. Did all sound design and colour correction in Premiere too.
Thanks for the comment.
I'm trying to thank you each individually but it's getting to be a lot of work!
I hope everyone who likes the film is giving it a nice high rating. I gotta keep that score up! :)
If this does well enough I'll put up some more cool fights.
Thanks for the support!
Great stunt choreography. Lesson to be learned here, don't mess with another guys money or his beer.
Good job!
Jason Stathum (Transporter) vs Jet Li... only younger. Like that new movie they're doing called 'Rogue', can't wait to see that. Maybe they could call these guys to double for them in a flashback scene hehe
By a hold on 1163552798You definitely have a bright future in the action-adventure genre. May I call you to direct my next feature?
- Alex Stirling
Thanks a lot, Alex. Of course! You can call me to direct your next feature anytime. Good hearing from you.
By eos_pictures 1163019674Good to see things are picking up for you Tyler. Nice to see your hard work rewarded, I hope this turns into something big!
Shawn B
Hey Tyler, video looks great! congrats on the airings of your projects, keep it up!
By Doogie_Speed 1162843533this is some random guy who has no idea who you are.
That was a nice clip, great coreography ( im pretty sure thats spelt wrong), that must have taken ages
...but you were really close!
Much appreciated. It took us about a month to choreograph, two rehearsals per week. We shot it in two 9 hour days, and we had to change about half of the choreography while on set! Ideally a good fight scene should take 'ages' to plan and shoot, but we were on limited time.
watch more Van Damme (or, God forbid, even Steven Seagal) movies ;o)
I know a bunch of Van Damme haters are gonna stomp on me now but whatever! JCVD was king in his day! (though I admit, he doesn't hold a candle to any of the Asian action stars)
