- maybe because
  unfortunately, many tkd schools nowadays teach only flasshy kicks. a real tkd school teaches punches elbows, knees, even ground work along side with the kicks. and any instructor will tell you that in a real fight you should never kick higher than the knees. we learn flashy stuff cus if you can land a knockout kick to somebody's head, imagine how powerful your lower kicks will be.

i got a black belt in tae kwon do too, and tae kwon do is not so good. Traine muay thai then you can say that you ar a warrior. Tae kwon do is bullshit,

i am from korea that is the country taekwondo was made. im a black belt. it is hard to get there but it pays off when strangers treatens you.
