This jazz rock music video features the original Santa Monica Pier Ferris Wheel in all it's glory! Interesting editing combined with cool breezy jazz band music make this video a real visual and audio treat. The original Santa Monica Pier Ferris Wheel has long since been torn down and the new - led, solar powered version is up and running. I am so glad that this video is around for us to remember the original Santa Monica Pier Ferris Wheel. Watch for cool looping effects, time lapse and other tricks on the eye not to mention the awesome bright colored lights of red, blue, green and pink. The song Turn the World was performed by So Cal local band from the late 80s, 31 Pier Avenue - it was written and sung by Eric Philip Schmitz - the band is long since torn down like the ferris wheel but Eric is still writing strong. They recorded 5 songs at Fullerton Community College and this happened to be one of them.
