    I had hopes that those watching would have the sense to realize a few important things.

    o1. Dogs should NEVER be off leash in a public place. The owner's fault.

    o2. If you do not have the strength and willingness to train and be able to control a dog, you should not have one. Another mistake on the owners part.

    o3.Pay attention to the body language of the 'vicious dogs'. They are PLAYING, albiet roughly. The type of play they're using should not be acceptable, as it gets a bit too rough. A fault of the owner for not teaching them the limits of play.

    Their tails are wagging. The ears are up. The dogs are doing more circling than attacking. Any basic dog owner should be able to recognize these signs.

    o4.The children had horrible responses. EVERY dog is a predator. Every single one. Running from them, especially when they're trying to play, only encourages them. Screaming is just a cherry on top.

    o5. The barking and growling? It doesn't match up with the dogs and what they're doing. It was most likely added in later for effect.

    PLEASE don't follow along with everything you're told. Much of it is inaccurate. Especially what is allegedly occuring in this clip.

      Glad to see there are still some people with some sense. The dogs are clearly playing. They are poorly trained yes, but vicious I think not. The only thing i saw in this video that apalled me was the police officer and the dogs owner standing around like dipshits for the first minute or so. Grab the F**king dog by the collar and hold on to it. I have had dogs all my life and when kids come around and get all jittery it gets the dogs excited so as the adults they needed to lay the law down and calm the dogs, but i cant blame the cop to much clearly the officer had missed his morning apointment to have his head removed from his ass.

      i totally agree that dogs should be on leash when they are out of their homes,but i think that kid provoked that dog before it started to chase after him.As u can see that the dog only go after that kid.Wasn't really biting,i think if it were to really bite that kid will be in worse condition than that.Even it was shot..

      I used to owned a APBT and what i can say is it won't bite a human unless they tresspass or provoked into its home.

      your dealing with a 13 year old and a 7 year old. maybe their response wasa horible, however in their minds they were being attacked by a large animal. they panicked, it may have not been the correct response but what do you want from a child? rough play for a pitbull to a human can cause serious damge. on the rest of your points I have to agree. people buy these dogs to be cool or to protect themselves or their homes and are not capable of training them properly. this type of breed Rutwieler pitbull ect. has been outlawed in ontario canada. to many idiots that could not controll their dogs.

      LOL, Dude i have a two dogs, Labrador and A Pitbull cross breed with German Shepard and I know what I’m talking about.

      Where are you going with this? A pit-bull fight is totally different then a pitbull attack, obviously the pit is not going to go BUCK wild and go crazy on the kid because the pit doesn’t feel threatened. In a pit fight it is a secluded area where you have no choice to fight.

      Pits were breed for fighting for years and is a dominant dog, you can’t change the aggressiveness nature of a pit, YES pits play fight but if you EVER played with a pit you know never to show weakness because a pit will challenge you and if you fail to accomplish that, the Pit will take Roll in Alpha DOG and attack who ever the pit thinks is trying to challenge it.

      If you know ANYTHING about animal instincts is that any predator that is felt challenged or maybe merely just stating his position in the pack, is that they bite to do critical damage either the head or the neck because it is our weakest point, you CEARLY see the DOG TRYING TO BITE the kids HEAD and it doesn’t need a genius to know that. The second hit was the leg because the owner is swinging the kid around like he is injured and INSTINCTS WILL TAKE OVER as if they were haunting and aim for the legs so the kid has no hope of running away.

      AND IT IS A PITBULL YOU REJECT, WTF YOU THINK IT IS A DALMATION??

      You are right about number 5. Right about the others but I'm going to center in number 5. I really feel bad about this dogs being treated that way and yes, the sound was edited I noticed too. Just yesterday I was looking for "real creatures" in google and what I found was a picture of a dog in black and white with his stomach completely flat. I entered the site to see what it was, I thought the picture was funny cuz I thought it wasn't real. But I found a page about dog cruelty. I found a video on that page that was about the US soldiers in Irak hunting dogs. The dog was sleeping in the grass and one soldier shot him. The dog was screaming and then another shot. You could even see his hea bounce sideways by the impact of the bullet. The dog still alive and screaming was shot 5 times to be killed.
      I wanted to talk about this cuz I thought this video shows dog cruelty too.

If those kids had stopped running and just stood still NONE of that would have happend. Dogs have prey drives, kids running or anyone running for that matter is a moving target. I would be willing to bet the dogs wouldnt have done a darned thing to those kids had they stopped running AND they make it look like the dog is attacking with all the fake sound effects.     However, if a pit bull threatened my child or I see one threatening any other children I would grab that dog by the scruf of the neck and break it as quickly as possible. That is, if I didn't have my gun. I would and have had to do it without thaught or hesitation. As far as playing rough, In my city, they've taken out kids eyes, suffocated children by clamping down on their necks and disslocated ankles. Rough is rough, but I'd call that pretty deadly. I am a guard, just got trained to cary firearms. In my city, even considering pitbulls are no longer legal there are still 2-3 deaths a year from children and Pittbulls and a dozen more have permanent scars and even dissabilities Maybe not all pitbulls are violent, but obviously some are. Sorry fellas but I'm of the opinion that some breed of dogs in a community where children are around is a potential mix for disaster.

    But after watching this a few times I noticed that they were puppies playing. A pitbull intent on killing.... Brings its victims down intentionally, clamps its jaws on the THROAT and doesn't let GO!!! They were skipping playfully at the feet and knees, jumping up and PLAYING. The narrator took the whole thing out of context with words like "vicious animal" and "helpless child". Honestly, they scare me to death, but even I can tell attack mode apart from playfulness.

    That dog was not aggressive! In 1:20 min the video lasts the dog could have killed the kid if he wanted,but he was just trying to play in a way,but the kid got scared and started screaming. Educate your children not to do that around animals especially dogs,don't blame the dogs for bad behaviours!!And if that dog really have bitten the kid's leg he wouldn't be able to walk, but he was.     A dog's a dog, it's the way it's brought up, irrelevant of the race! I have friends who own pit bulls and are friendlier than Labradors! Ok, so they're mega tough dogs, but they only attack if they feel their owner is threathened r their territory is invaded!
    In this case, the cop did the right thing in shooting the dog, but as everyone can see, as soon as the dog saw the gun again, it backed off coz it remembered the pain it went through when the cop drew the weapon! Which goes to say that dogs ARE intelligent and can learn very easily and quickly. So if a dog attacks, it's only coz it's forced to, they NEVER attack just for fun!

    Pitbulls are naturally aggressive and all are a bit unpredictable.
    I had one as a kid and had another 20 years ago.
    There are a few that will never hurt anybody but most are
    at least a little unpredictable.
    Usually people have them for protection in bad neighborhoods.
    Most of us can get by with a much smaller dog thats less aggressive for protection.

    When any dog is out on any public thoroughfare it should be on a leash, if it comes under the dangerous dogs catagory it should be muzzled when out on a leash. also children should be warned not toapproach strange dogs, these were dogs that had returned to their origins of pack animal on a hunt.     When I was 6 years old I was attacked by a German Shepard Collie mix. The only thing that kept that dog from ripping my face off was the end of a long rope. Doesn't matter what kind of dog it is to be dangerous. I'm not afraid of just one kind of dog. I'm afraid of any dog that wants to come after me. Don't blame just one breed. You can't keep a dog tied up all the time and expect it to be friendly. I've been attacked by a pit bull too and the only thing that stopped it was a friend jumping between me and the dog and kicking it in the head. Be a responsible dog owner. If the dog is mean, get rid of it and I don't care what kind of dog it is. You can't blame just one kind of dog. That would be stupid.

    Am I the only one who knows how to kick? I dont mean the kids that were being chased, but the owner who picked up the kid, or even the cop. It was biting but for all the punishment and "fighting back" it got, it probably thought they were goofing around or at least an easy mark. Even a poodle will chase you if you run and just keep skittering out of its reach to wait for it to come close again...and again. That dog would have had my foot in its throat and gut every time it got close, and when that kids leg was being bitten, the cop was holding his gun, I would have spit its head open with the butt.

      I was driving to work one day and saw a woman walking her dogs get attacked by a big dog. I stopped, got out and kicked the dog in the throat. It turned on me and I kicked it in the head under the jaw. It turned towards me again but didn't immediately attack. I had to stand between the woman and the dog so she could throw her dogs in my vehicle as the dog was looking for a way to get around me and at her. I drove this hysterical woman home and think that a dog like that must be put down. The owner failed in their responsibility to train the dog and to keep the dog on their property or leashed. The owner, not the victim, is responsible for a dog like that getting killed by someone. Unleashed "playful" pitbulls around children are an accident waiting to happen. Think of this video and think of how you would feel if it was your kid out there.

      I am 19 so i have no child yet. I thought about it more and I think that if I was in the situation and it was my child being attacked I would kick it just so it would take its attention away from my child so he/she can run away. I would do that, risk my life to save my child, without any hesitation. If I can choose between me or my child getting hurt you better believe it will be me.     The truth hurts and this is it. Until this breed of dog fell into the wrong hands and I am refering to certain minority (I am also a minority) groups of certain economic levels sounds horrible to say (but true) there was never any problem with this type of situation and this particular breed. There are certain people that think they need to look tough and be tough so they get a tough looking dog. But they haven't got a clue on how to care for or train a dog with this potential to do damage. Any dog has the potential to be a danger to the people around it, it is the responsibility of the owner to controle his/her pet. Registration alone will do nothing to avoid this type of situation. People who want Pit Bulls as pets should be obligated to take responsible pet ownership classes or course s and training before getting one. Too often the blame goes to the animal and that is misdirected. The animal reacts to it's environment as it is conditioned to. I know of a case (not in the US) where there was a Rotti on it's owners property on a chain, the dog was a watch dog. A two year old child from accross the street which was being baby sat by it's grandmother walked out of his house crossed the road and onto the property where the dog was. The dog got a hold of the child and attacked. The community was so enraged the dog was doused with petrol and lit afire. It was horrible all around. But who was to blame? In my opinion where the hell was granny! The kid could have just as easily been struck by a car crossing the street. Then the focus would have then been on the irresponsible person in charge of the child. We need to address the CAUSE of a problem befor lashing out at the easiest target!
