One of the best police takedowns I've ever seen in a video. This dude doesn't even know what hit him.
suspicion he is carrying they can go for it, they gave him plenty of warning they could have used tazer, pepper spray etc but that takedown was less painful for him, bet he crapped his shorts, all those in favour of the cops say ... aye.
By swedishtony 1163354111Im not usually for the cops, but the guy was an idiot. Cop asked him one simple thing, Hands out of pockets. Lesson Learned.
By barnacleze 1163443817Aye :) That dude got what was coming to him. I think if a cop asks you to do something and they are asking you to do it in an official capacity then you should do it regardless of if you are guilty or not because the cop doesn't know either way and is just doing his job.
By Tokenhost 1166641460Aye (beaware of People in Yellow T-shirts with black lower and trainers)
By khajoor 1163619190If he really had something in this pocket, he had all the time to shoot him or even stab him as he went on his throat but stayed on the line of fire/attack...
By Yurich 1165145074If the cop was white and doing that to a black guy
i think they would call it a police brutallity. lol
that was a white cop attacking a black guy, it would have been a whole different story. You all know it. Doesn't matter if the moron deserved it or not, but when a black cop takes action against a white cop, they're just doing their job. Whatever!!
By Marino fan 1163730472i see alot of videos where cops use tazers when i dont think they should. he could have seriously injured this guy with that move to his neck. a tazer was probably the best bet. i dont sympathize for the guy who got taken down, but as a tax payer i hope cops use better judgement as to not spend my hard earned dollars on lawsuits.
By avgjoe 1163487112nice essay you got there.
too bad you're wrong.
take hands out of pockets when cops tell you to do so.
Though he got lucky, the guy was unarmed. If it was me and I had my hand on a gun in my pocket,(i wouldn't be dumb enough to be fondling in a cops presence..) and someone did that to me, instincts would take over and the one choking me would have a bullet in their belly. I wouldn't have time to think, so body would take over.
By jaswi 1168299892This cop was being pretty reasonable, but cops in general tend to be the biggest alpha-male assholes who will jump to doing takedown S**t like this even whe its not necessary. Maybe people would comply with cops more if they weren't such jerks to everybody.
By artful 1166056624Reasonable suspicion permits police to temporary stop (i.e., seize) suspects for further investigation under Terry v Ohio. The move this officer used was potentially deadly (watch how the guy’s head snaps in the slo-mo playback). The use of deadly force requires a reason to believe that the suspect was armed and presently dangerous under Tennessee v Garner. Merely because someone fails or refuses to comply with a police order, even if the police officer is suspicious, does not give rise to a reason to believe that they are armed and presently dangerous. The requisite quantum of suspicion was completely lacking in this instance. Stop being de-sensitized to your constitutional rights, and learn to recognize police brutality when you see it.
By LexTalionis 1164856786You would think people just had a little more common sense
By dmaverick 1164239619WTH..? He just refused to take his hands out of his pockets, and the police person attacked him, What could have killed him? Weird..
BTW; I think his going to need some soothers! HAHA not funny.
(Soothers are throat things :P)
to serve and protect i didnt see anything its to brutal only 1 figer is in the pocket maybe hes just drunk use your brain how to deal wit drunk person just like talkin to a kid
By rhym123 1163723297If it was a white cop and a black man it would be racism and everybody would scream Rodney king. But look it is a white guy and a black cop and nobody says a thing.
By Udon noodle 1163541168This video had rodney king potential written all over it, but the rest of the video was erased by las vegas metro
By jetsonix 1163468950notice the cop didn't do anything to protect the kids head from hitting the street..That kid could have slammed the back of his head and died..was that really that necessary..the kid looked out of it..
By calcio 1163477255As much as one can see without having been there, it did look like an unprovoked attack by the officer, which he performed in front of a camera. the victim would appear to be able to lodge a formal complaint of assault. would be interesting to hear what happened
By harvestmouse 1163341108The officer had been called to the scene of an assault (the fight) and this man was identified as one of the suspects.
His demeanor demonstrated probable cause to suspect drug use. The cop saw it, too. He said, "He looks amped up."
He was asked TWICE to remove his hands from his pockets and step to the cruiser. He failed to comply with THREE reasonable requests from the officer, who felt that this suspect might decide to become violent with police as well.
The law clearly states that police officers are to be obeyed in situations like this.
Is the police officer supposed to wait until he's been shot or stabbed before applying force?
Fair point. but..
The officer did ask the civillian to take his hands out of his pockets immediately. discussion could of taken place after the officers instructions were met. No point taking any chances here.
If he did what he was told the officer would of taken a different approach to the situation.
him to take his hands out of his pockets repeatedly. The "SUSPECT" didn't answer so action needed to be taken, not discussion. Now with that being said, that was a brutal taken that could have caused seriously bodily harm or death. A choke slam performed like a WWE star wasn't right at all. That should be evaluated within his department, which Im sure it was. I'm pretty sure a taser or pepper spray couldve been worse.
By maize 1202155990That's when the cop should have used the taser on the guy.
By pl629@Yahoo.com 1236252722All he had to do was take his hands out of his pocket. How hard is that?
Go the cop.
Ok I guess this has to be spelled out for all the cowardly sheeply here.
For all this cop knows is he recieved a call, someone on the street shouts, "he's over there" and the guy has blood on his face. For all this half wit cop knows, the guy he is talking to could be a one of the victims in a robbery, an assault victim, or an innocent bystander who got caught in wrong place at the wrong time. The guy on the street shouting "he's over there" could have been the guy who committed the crime that was called about. Maybe the guy the cop attacks could have been wronged somehow but doesn't have a cell phone to make the first call. Cops always believe the ones making the calls.
What this cop is doing is deciding he is judge, jury and executioner. Just because this guy is too disoriented to know why this cop is harassing him and doesn't know how to respond to the cop who wants to violate him more, the cop looses his temper. He goes for his throat and that's an attempt to commit murder. The cop has already decided he is guilty and is excercising his form of corporal punishment.
Even if this guy is the perpetrator of shoplifting a $2.75 40oz remember in America the accused are Innocent Until Proven GUILTY. This cop has just decided he is guilty and escalated the situation and made it worse. Except for capital punishment, corporal punishment was outlawed in this country back when it was made a country. This cop could have attacked the wrong guy and not doing as a cop says is not grounds for assault. The cop lost his head.
As for the cops here. While the rest of us are working our butts off to make a nation, some are trying to make ends meet, while some are fighting for our freedom every single day; you dirt bags are out creating and perpetuating cycles of hate and anger, violence, hardship and despair. Every day you ruin peoples lives. I'm not even talking about the what you so call "bad apples" that trade drugs, and engage in other criminal actions. Horse manure, one bad apple ruins the whole barrel. I'm talking about the daily acts of extortion you commit, the devastation you create to Americans' lives. Entering peoples lives and making them worse most often when those people are struggling to begin with. Why is it the most often the people we see cops harassing are the poor or the weak? What were the cops in New Orleans doing to the victims of Katrina down there? They were forcing people out of their homes. Tackling frail and defenseless old ladies. Taking a situation where there are weakened and hurt people and like hyenas victimizing them more.
Like the most corrupt of lawyers who twist the laws to make millions, you laughingly fire off numbers and statutes (like you did here), twist the laws and violate the most sacred and fundamental constitutional laws in your daily effort to ruin Americans' lives. You pretend not to know how much the fines are for the extortion you are committing, so like bomber pilots you drop bombs on families from way above, you never even see the carnage and destruction you cause. Remember the rest of us are trying to make this country better while you are doing whatever you can to bring it down. You will cite numbers and statutes as your excuses why you think it is acceptable to do the worst you possibly can to people. You often create trouble where there is none, or escalate it where there is little. Another thing you forget about is the angry backlash you create in communites where more people are victimized by the people you have victimized institutionally for decades. You guys must wake up every day and say "Today I am going to ruin some Americans' lives!"? You even use your statutes as excuses to commit murder. Police murder hundreds of Americans' every year and get away with it.
Because of our corrupt justice system that is based on money, favoritism, and image (eg. how a person looks or how rich he or she is) and our persecution-happy cops there are more people in prison in America than IN ANY OTHER COUNTRY IN THE WORLD, including Communist China. That is the opposite of a FREE COUNTRY. That is an imprisoned country.
One of your wrote here suggesting that you are normal people with families etc.. You are supposedly normal people when you are home but when you go to work you become government sanctioned thugs that the government turns a blind eye to.
Finally do you cops ever wonder if you might have a soul? With all the people you hurt, all the lives you ruin that is a lot of debt.
"take your hands out of your pockets. take your hands out of your pockets. Youre making me nervous, take your hands out of your pockets. Sir, take your hands out of your pockets."
One thing you fail to realize, that is the guy who had the cops called on him. I dont know where you are from, but in America, when a cop approaches a suspect and asks him to take his hands out of his pockets because the officer is nervous, he better. So save your spew for some back page of your local chronicle.
Go back to China or whatever commie cesspool you crawled out of.
By Silentwind96 1182573966I think that guy should file charges aginst that cop. If the suspect was black and the cop white the white cop would have gotten fired and served some time in jail...I hate how that is all one sided.
By The_Don_Papito 1168119084And we all know cops victimize whites as much as everyone else. They are nothing but government sanctioned thugs. You know where not to go to stay away from bad neighborhoods, but no where in this country are we safe from cops. What they do amounts to no more than extortion. Using force and the abuse of their positions to obtain money. That's about all it amounts to.
By Nationaldefense 1168207856Standing on the side of the road is no crime. We are free citizens and should not have to do everything police say just because they are in the mood. This was an all out S**ker attack and full on assault. That cop arrested, muzzled and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent. Wake up people before your freedom is completely gone.
By Nationaldefense 1166912021If you listen to the radio when the officer is in the car, it says the guy was involved in a fight. Refusing to take his hands out of his pockets implied that he could have a weapon. He wasn't innocent, so why defend him? You're accusing a cop of breaking the law for doing his job.
By leprousmaw 1186653690I THINK IT HAS A LITTLE TO DO WITH COLOR, SEND THE COP BACK TO WHERE HE CAME FROM IF YOU ASK ME!!! _14_
By eazyspyder1488 1165233809Thanks Eric. I knew the song, but couldn't remember the band/title. You're the man.
By WantPeace70 1164260996he hates the day he was born
it probably comes from wearing
that stupid uniform
anyone know what the name of the song playing in the background is? just curious.
By mulletman 1163536428I'm from Vegas too... Vegas cops are trigger happy, he's lucky all he got was a choke slam.
By CaptainXanax 1163467332this video 2 days ago but it was now in inactive status..well at least somebody have reposted it...
By Ninjarey 1163428825But when a cop tells you 'put your hands behind your back when he is kneeling on your elbow, you are sorta screwed
By cgid3 1163373239The cop was kneeling on the guy's neck. The guy hit the pavement hard. The guy's neck could be broken. The cop was further attempting to murder him. ANd just for standing around in the street. Cops are out of control in this country and this could happen to anyone. We could all be attacked by cops just driving to work.
By larryetall 1168592519This is a great example of why "following instructions" is taught in the earliest days of elementary school.
And an excellent example of police work.
NICE WORK OFFICER , HOPE HE GOT CHARGED FOR STANDING STILL BIG OFFENCE IN VEGAS GLAD TO SEE THEY CAUGHT ANOTHER STATIC CRIMINAL
By harrymonk 1163345569that we are indoctrinated early in elementary school to be obedient cattle to fascists. Oh no but teachers are "liberal'! Oh yeah sure. The early educational model is actually based on a old military training model. Hence the bells and discipline.
This was an excellent example of police brutality on an innocent bystander and why cops are out of control.
I do not see how that was justified. If every cop did what he/she wanted to do because he/she was nervous, we would all be in great danger. If you are nervous talking to someone with hands in pocket, get a new job, or find a better way to handle the situation. It would have been smart for the guy to take his hands out of his pocket when asked to do so. What about the other cop, he had been there prior to the cop riding with the camera crew. He did not seem to nervous. The cop was putting on a show for the camera, and he should be dealt with accordingly.
By kingofklot 1235706328This is one perfect reason why Americans need to arm themselves to defend themselves from cops. They would be a lot more polite if they knew we had equal force.
By Nationaldefense 1166912609It's a good thing the suspect was white, the cops were black and they were in Vegas instead of New York. Had it been the other way around, his relatives would have attended his closed casket funeral.
By SexxxyVamp 1165207864Hopefully that bully of a cop tries that trick with someone hard, who turns round and gives him a good beating.
Maybe if the cop had spoken politely to the young man, he would have got what he wanted. I wonder in the cowardly cop would be so tough on his own, without a gun?
the song playing? anyone knows? only the strongest will survive or sum ?
