Non stop Dance Gibson Brothers

Nés à l' ile de la Martinique et demeurant à Paris depuis de nombreuses années,
les Gibson brothers ont commencé leur carrière en 1976.


1976 - Premier single " COME TO AMERICA " devient un succès européen
et se classe numéro 1 en France et Italie.


1977 - Ils composent " NON STOP DANCE" qui fera un million d'exemplaires et restera plusieurs mois n°1 en Europe, suivi d'une tournée mondiale.


1980 - Premier hit International avec " CUBA ": 14 disques d'or N° 1 des hits dans 16 pays, neuvième au Bill board Américain avec plus de 5 million de disques vendus. Il deviennent alors le premier groupe Français à se hisser aux premières places des hits Américains et Anglais . Ce méga succès fut suivit de :


1981 - " OOH WHAT A LIFE " N° 1 en Angleterre, " MARIANNA " Top 10 en Espagne, Allemagne et Angleterre.


1983 - Le groupe obtient sont plus gros succès avec " QUE SERA MI VIDA "
qui s' écoule à plus de 5 millions d'exemplaires.


1984 - Disque d'or en France avec 500,000 exemplaires vendus de
"MY HEART'S BEATING WILD - TIC TAC TIC TAC".


1985 - Les frêres se lancent également dans la production et réalisent
" T'AS LE LOOK COCO " avec Laroche Valmont. Un titre qui caracolera en tête des hits parades et totalisera un score de plus de 500,000 exemplaires vendus.


1987 - Sortie de l' album " EMILY " qui les propulsent groupe de l'année en Angleterre.
1990 - Sortie d'un single avec David Christie " LETS ALL DANCE " qui devient un hit en Belgique .


1996 - Un autre sucés en Belgique et en Hollande avec le single " FIRE " qui les propulse en haut des charts.


1997 - Dix après l'album " EMILY " la sortie en Europe de l'album " MOVE ON UP ", avec un son nouveau et trés puissant .


Aprés avoir effectué une tournée mondiale depuis les 20 dernières années, tout le monde reconnait le son typiquement Disco/Salsa marque de fabrique des Gibson Brothers

Born on the Antillen island “Martinique” and for many years living in Paris, the Gibson
Brothers started their career in 1976.


1976 – Their first single COME TO AMERICA became a European success and nr.1 in France and Italy.
1977 - They composed NON STOP DANCE which became a nr. 1 hit in Belgium, Holland and Northern Europe with 1 million copies sold. Enough for concerts and touring through whole Europe.
1980 – Their first world hit CUBA delivered them 14 golden records
and was a nr. 1 hit in 16 countries, a nr. 9 hit in the American Bill board and more than 5 million copies were sold. At that time the Gibson Brothers were the first French group to enter the charts in America and England at the same time. This mega success was followed by:
1981 OOH WHAT A LIFE nr. 1 in England, MARIANNA Top 10 in Spain, Germany and England.
1983 – Their biggest hit: QUE SERA MI VIDA sold over 5 million copies.
1984 - Again a golden record in France for more than 500,000 copies sold
for MY HEART’S BEATING WILD – TIC TAC TIC TAC.
1985 – Slowly the brothers started with record production. The first result was
T’AS LE LOOK COCO with Laroche Valmont.
1987 – “Group of the Year” in England after the release of their album EMILY.
1990 – The single LETS ALL DANCE with David Christie became a hit in Belgium.
1996 – Again a hit in Belgium with their newest single FIRE.
1997 – Ten years after their last album EMILY a follow-up worldwide
with a brand new album called MOVE ON UP.
The sound is brand new and really surprising.
After touring all over the world during the past 20 years, everybody still recognises the typical Disco/Salsa style from The Gibson Brothers.
