This woman is rationalizing. She is parroting the same things so many others say to defend or trivialize their size. It is obvious that she is not happy. No-one could be knowing that all they had to do was put forth some self control and their lives could be a thousand times better. It is sickening that she has let herself get into the position of actually having to have a caretaker for no other reason than her obesity. Who is supporting her? Who is paying for this care-taker? Who is enabling her to keep this up? It's such a waste of life and money and self esteem. She can spout the same size acceptance propaganda over and over, but the fact remains that she is only putting forth excuses and rationalizations for things that she could easily change for the better. It's not a disease, it's a choice.

This is directed to the people who want to blame this woman's weight on society. I'm overweight, not to lie, but i know its my own fault. Just because "Society" places the plate infront of you doesnt mean that you have to shove your face into it. You have to take responsibility for your own actions. It is true that portion sizes are grossly large, but in the end it lies on you. If you get to the point that this woman has gotten to and feel comfortable with being a weight, no pon intened, on the society (that endulges you) and still feel comfortable, i really do pity you.

i like her guts, she should not change for anyone but for herself. She needs to walk arround the house at least. and Yes I feel she should change to live .

This women could be more normal than all off us, she is clear example how the human body is changing to reflect on modern society. her weight issues are a result of peoples misconseptions of what constitutes a healthy diet, the overwhelming freedom of availiablilty of foods that are grossly unhealthy such as fast food. I thinkcin this case there are other pyscological issues at work due to the extremety of her conidition. i think that people must understand that obeisity is on the up and has become a product of modern consumerism.

Being that big is inviting a stroke or heart attack!!! I am 130 pounds at 5`6`` and plan on not gaining too much. I like being slender. That means mobility and fitting into regular size clothes. No insults meant...just she is inviting trouble.

Of course everyone needs to accept him/herself as s/he is, but one needs to love oneself and at least stay healthy. With all due respect, I guess this woman have limits as to what she is able to do physically. It's not about finding a boyfriend or friends who accept you as you are!! It's about feeling good yourself deep down inside even if you stay single for the rest of your life!! You don't have to change for others, but for yourself!!
