I wasn't there when my grandfather came home from Normandy with no legs and almost completely blind. Until shortly before his death, he rarely spoke of his time in the Army, except to say he'd do it again if it meant his children could grow up in freedom. I was there when my uncle came home from Vietnam. He came through San Francisco where he was spit on. He never received a thank you...until Desert Storm. He'll be the first to tell you he suffered more from the blantant disrespect of his generation than the wounds he received in country. And now it is my turn. My husband's been in the Marine Corp and now the Army for 24 years. He's been gone from home for 16 months. It is a sacrifice. A huge one, but it is one we as a family have been willing to make. I am active duty Air Force, and my current job is as a Ceremonial Guardsman for the AF Honor Guard. Basically i perform military funerals in Arlington National Cemetary. This was a simple tribute to the men and women of the Armed Service. How did it turn into a Bush bashing party, and especially into, F the troops. Unbelievable. I bury these troops that you talk so badly about, i even did a funeral for an Iraqi pilot that was killed, burried in Arlington. Most of these troops are 18 -21 years old. A lot of them dont even know much if anything about politics. They simply love this country. What do you war protesters suggest. We get rid of the military all together. do you think for one second the terrorist will have any pity on you because you were against us troops. not likely, if you dont belive me, go to one of their training camps and tell them you hate us troops. They would probably cut your head off and video tape the whole thing.remember, we are fighting terrorist

Please please to everyone who hates Bush, hates the war on terror, hates what the soldiers are doing, you must stand up together . . . . . and get the F**k out of my country!!! I would love to be the bigger man and say you have the right to say what some of you are saying, but the way you talk about our soldiers, are boy, sons, and friends makes me sick. So please, I'm begging you, move to France or even Canada though I don't know that I want you that close! No matter how misbegotten this war is, so many fathers will never see their children grow up, so many wives sleep alone, so many mothers cry themselves to sleep at night.... and children will grow up never knowing the men responsible for their births. This is a moving tribute to those who serve and have served this country. They deserve the best and have at many times in the past endured the worst for their service.

To those of you who have made rude comments here, they are misplaced in more ways than just being here with this. Maybe not all of the military actions our country has been involved in have been for worthy reasons, some have for sure and others can be questioned. The fact is that the men and women who serve don't chose to go there. No sane person chooses to fight, kill, or be killed. They have chosen to serve and are following orders in going where they go. Blame the politics all you want, but never blame the people risking and giving so much for their country and often the rest of the world.

Since then, someone has been using my moniker to make me out to be anti-american. Nothing could be further from the truth.
