A leading children's charity has blasted Katie Price over comments she made about Peter Andre on her Twitter account.

The 31-year-old model referred to her ex as a c-word on the social networking site and said that it was his decision to leave her.Katie has more than 196,000 followers on Twitter and there are concerns about the impact her comments may have on some of her younger fans.

Kidscape director Claude Knights said: "Celebrities have a responsibility not to negatively influence young people. Teenagers have a huge presence on Twitter and young girls model themselves on female idols."
