Korean letters (they're not called characters) are less complex and easy to write. I'm pretty sure this is Chinese. Japanese characters look a little different since they are modified chinese characters. So, I'm pretty sure this is chinese.

After testing this trick, I opened up the saved file in UltraEdit-32.
UltraEdit showed that said file was entirely intact. So this led me to think that said output was a "feature" of notepad!
I opened the bush.txt file, and then saved it is resave.txt. Then I opened resave.txt in UltraEdit-32 and switched it to the Hex view. The following is the output of the file.
00000000h: FF FE 42 75 73 68 20 68 69 64 20 74 68 65 20 66 ; ÿþBush hid the f
00000010h: 61 63 74 73 ; acts
Enough said? If you don't believe me, try it for yourself. Use any hex editor, and follow the below steps.
0) Download and install a Hex editor or viewer. You'll need this. Learn to use it to view hex as well.
1) Open notepad.
2) Put the following into the file: Bush hid the facts
3) Save as bush.txt
4) Close notepad.
5) Open notepad again, and then open the bush.txt file. DO NOT EDIT THE FILE.
6) Save directly as "resave.txt".
7) Close notpad...again.
8) Open up your hex editor, whatever one you choose to use.
9) Use your hex editor to view the bush.txt file first. You'll see that the data is intact.
10) close bush.txt, and open resave.txt. You will find the above output...weird, eh?

Yes, it seems that Notepad adds 2 bytes ("FF FE") in the beginning of the file when it open such a file (I red that any file with a string pattern of 4 letters, 3 letters, 3 letters and 5 letters will produce the same result).
It's a "cheat" from Notepad to help him recognize the file encoding. And for some reason, Notepad thinks that any 4-3-3-5 letters string is Unicode, not Ansi as it really is.

Try to view it with total commander (F3 on file name) it shows the text. I think its about encodig text files (ANSI / unicode etc) .

I downloaded a chinese character set, so it doesn't show up as squares, it shows up as chinese characters...
Here's what it says when i translated it to english using Google Translator:

The reason why this happens is because notepad is a universal tool for reading different coding formats eg. UTF-8 or ASCII. Now this works when a charachter is the same in mutiple formats, so notepad cannot decide which format to re-display the text in so it gives you a square. If you typed a few more words in it wouldn't work due to the ASCII coding being detected. (Also it's fun to do this with the words this app can break) -SS

i have tried alot of combinations, like "saddam hid the facts", "bush hid the facts". and when i translate the chinese symbols on google translate, they all say the same thing, except all the words are jumbled. now i am thinking it is a code. try to sort out the words to create a sentence(maybe there is a secret sentence microsoft implanted into notepad. also in google translator, translate the symbols into japenese to english, it says "projection"

I tried it on a translator... but the only English words it turns up are "reflect" and "picks." That's when translated from traditional and simple Chinese. All other characters remain untranslated.
When translated from Japanese, it says "projects." All other characters also remain untranslated.

It's a bug with ASCII and its only showes up as sqaures if u don't have the launage pack.
Works with any letters just need to get the number of letters right.
ie. xxxx xxx xxx xxxxx

Bush did hid the facts behind the 9/11 and how ever thinks that Iraq had anything to do with the WTC attacks then ur an idiot. Also note that WTC 7 was further away from 2 other buildings and collapsed with no debree smashing into it and 2 other buildings and they didn't collapse, why did the WTC and WTC 7 collapse and the other 2 didn't? it's because the WTC's and WTC 7 was owned by one person and the other 2 were not owned by that person so he couldn't blow them up using planes and planted bombs.
