Michael Jackson, the king of pop, is no more. He is dead.

Michael Jackson died at UCLA Medical Centre in Los Angeles. It is believed that he died after suffering a cardiac arrest; however the exact cause of his death is unknown.

Michael Jackson's body will be sent for post mortem and after this the autopsy results will ascertain the exact cause of his death. According to some people he died due to drug overdose.

Michael Jackson was also suffering from prolonged illness since last few years with reports of worsening health with rumors of skin cancer and a reported lung failure.

Michael Jackson was pronounced dead at 2:26 pm (0256 Indian Standard Time) local time. He was fifty years old. King of Pop Michael Jackson's sudden death on Thursday has left his friends and fans absolutely devastated.

Will he be remembered?
I think Michael Jackson's memory will fade dramatically over time. His success was not based on any new musical direction that he offered. He was no musician. He was just a 'pop' entertainer - and the 'pop' will fizz out after a few years.
