1. Make sure that your links are relative to your audience, and to your site. Partner with other sites that are similar to yours so that you can help share traffic and improve your search engine rankings.
2. Make sure that all your links are working. Test them periodically.
3. Don't add too many links. This looks spammy and doesn't' help your visitors.
