I saw a picture of this dog and thought it was something out of a horror movie, like maybe a puppet. I got pretty scared mainly because of its eyes. I had a hard time sleeping when I thought it was fake, now that I know that its real, I'll never sleep again.

Do you think for one minute that this lady would go public with the dog if she was abusing it? Accept the fact that dogs can turnout abnormal just like humans. Just look in the mirror! Maybe you should be investigated or better yet your mother.

Would everybody please stop blabbing on about the poor woman. This is what a 'Chinese crested' dog looks like. It has congestive heart failure, lung and kidney problems. Nothing she caused! And besides, most of the people out there would rather have the animal put down, than to have the compassion and time to look after a animal with the same needs as SAM! I admire her for loving such an ugly animal, and my advice to all the people that says she abuses her animals ... never get animals ... especially not a 'Chinese crested'.

And u can get one if u come to Peru
but, they are quite expensive and not too ugly as that dog that have no teeth

at our school we had to make a letter to try to persude someone to buy sam. i didn't know that sam had passed away untill today. poor puppy (well he wasn't a puppy).

If she really loved the animal she wouldn't care if it won the ugliest dog of the year award. She would try and make if comfortable in its last years.
That last part came to mind when I heard that she was also the owner of the runner up ugliest dog.

That's just great if the dog eats gourmet ( notice the spelling ) food and drinks only purified water. The poor thing still has a big lump on its chest, blackheads, blind in one eye, its nails need to be clipped and its teeth should be fixed.

I am sure that all these ignorant people making nasty remarks about the dog are uglier than he is. By the way, this is one of the oldest breeds; Xoloscuintle, it is the Aztec dog, they believed that they were the guide for humans to find paradise and they loved them so much they were buried alongside with them.

Ugly is not a crime. It is not something we put animals down for. To say that the dog needs to be put down because it is ugly is ignorant. Would you put your child down if it were born with a disfigured face? I hardly think so. Lets be happy that someone has compassion enough to rescue the dog from the pound. The odds are already tough for animals in shelters, Sams outlook I am sure was even worse.

it is inhumane to keep a dog alive like that it probly has lots of health problems and is in constant pain and not to mention how cold it would get in the winds and in winter.

this specie is called xoloscuintle and is the only pure mexican dog, its a survivor...the azteca dog doesnt have hair its look nice to me..

I think that dog is beautiful, as is any creature god created. I think that all of you that are making fun of him are horrible.
