This is a warning to all knife dealers who sell Smith & Wesson, and Schrade Automatic Knives. Benchmade is claiming that they invented the push button automatic switchblade that has a locking device on the knife. This claim is outright nonsense and the patent is narrow in its scope and needs to be revoked. If anyone has the patent CRKT does because they filed a locking device prior to Benchmade on their folding knives and a switchblade is simply a derivative. The problem is huge, Benchmade due file a lawsuit against Smith & Wesson. The Extreme OPS line is discontinued.So I urge people that understand the issue to stop Benchmade and fight back.
