this is about hidden programs on your comp like viruses malware etc. if you have spyware protection Norton firewall and Norton internet security plus adware protection you should be all set. avoid downloading things that you are not familiar with.

First thing I would recommend, is checking the device with your Device Manager. For example, I had a MP3 player hooked up to my compurer so my system devoted resources for it. I no longer have that MP3 player, so yes I would delete that ghosted hardware through my device manager. You should only delete things you know are no longer needed. The device manager will give you info on each item. Hope this helps.

Finally figured out your vid, by stopping and writing down all the moves. Turns out I didn't have any at all. That's probally thanks to the regcleaner program I have. It finds all those duplicate, unused, and obsolete files for me. Now if I can program it to make coffee......

I thought the video quailty was poor(blurred) and it moved way too fast. I also know that if one doesn't know what they are doing, they can really mess up their puter. Been there, done that. I strongly suggest making a back-up disc first, even with the restore feature.

You should look it up in the device manager, and if you don't know what it is than leave it alone. I was able to delete 9 Ghosted devices because it was old harware I know I no longer need. Hope this helps.

I deleted old mp3 players, 1 dvd writter, 4 game controllers, and 2 Monitors. So, i'd only delete the items you know you will no longer use. Hope this helps

Hidden and Ghosting hardware can cause your system conflicts. Ghosting hardware are devices removed from you system without uninstall, or the uninstall didn't work right. These devices take up system resources, and can cause conflicts.

Forced Hardware (rather than ghost) is required to make the OS work properly and doesn't slow down the system unless u explicitly fuck with it.

As far as the technical aspects of your statement are concerned, you might have a point if you had used the word legacy anywhere in your statement. But you didn't, and even if you had, that would just cause problems with using existing hardware when you deleted it, if that. I hope I've made this clear to you.

Device Manager will give you more info and help troubleshoot the hidden devices. If you find ghosted devices no long need for your computer, you can uninstall them to free up some of your system resources.
