seeing this video, all gas stations should have the incentive to build in a metal post attached to the floor in case someone is wearing wool clothes or other material that might need to be discharged before they fill fuel.

should have left the nozzle in the hole, turned the pump off and get a CO2 extiguisher and blast it at the filler cap.I f you deplete the oxygen the fire will stop.
By taking the nozzle out you cause a vacume, forcing air in to the space the nozzle was ocuping, meaning the fuel vapour in the neck of the tank can burn, if it does and your unfortunite the expansion of the hot gasses in the neck could force liquid fule out into open air where it will burn unmersifely, causing people to panic, causing more accidents and in a filling station thid will inevitably end up with mass panic. No good in times of confusion.
Remember : Turn the fule off at the nozzle handle, leave nozzle in the petrol tank spout, Inform whom ever is running the station, Then hit the station saftey switch - which turns all petrol pumps off. Contact The Fire Brigade and Retreat to a min distance of 50M and try to put somthing between you and the station. (i.e. A Large Wall or building)

if this actually happens to you, leave the pump in the car and seek help. if you pull the pump out the gas might spill out causing a bigger fire

this is wery known.. that static can make a gas pump to a flametrower.. but the thing is that young people do it more often then old people caus when they are getting upp from their seats old people put their hand on the door beacuse the need support to get balance soo the electricity is removed.. young poeple just jump upp and often get the electricity from the seats.. a good tips if this hapends to you is that you shud not take the gass pump out of you gas tank then you will grill your whole car hopefully the gas tank will keep the flame inside.. then run for help...

Need to warn people of the static built up when sliding across the seat when getting out of the car!! Need to discharge yourself by touching the metal of the car!! If no spark, no problem. If you get a spark you prevented a possible problem!!
