first h bomb test
but how much wild life, and or sea life was killed in doing this test?
By jkaarbo2 1164117313 Reply Spam [+7] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWe don't care about that sort of thing...
BTW... I am a tree hugger and NOTHING pisses me off more than human waste of our planet's natural environment.
This test was done on an atoll reef named enewetek in the Marshall islands, however, was not as large as castle bravo, the largest H bomb the US exploded in bikini atoll that vaporized 3 small islands leaving a crater around 200ft deep. Although marine life has fully recovered today, the islands are far too inhabitable to live on. The real victims here are the native people who were relocated and even contaminated by the castle bravo bomb.

By Lasseleeten 1164375326 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveDid you know that during the cold war the United States had enough Nuclear Bombs to blow up the entire earth 60 times?
By DeadEye11383 1164365378 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removebut the most powerfull H bomb was made by Russians, after the scientists saw how powerfull an H bomb can be, there was some conference, where they signded NEVER to build an H bomb again
By lol? 1164236108 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removemost probably signed that but a bunch didnt agree... look at the Middle East.... they were inspected for weapons and stuff so if need be they will build these things, if not H-bombs then A-bombs and others... I think that we are gonna kill everyone due to these things, blowing up other countries... glad i wont be here at that time...... if it happens hopefully it happens 200years after i die... hopefully not though..... stupid idiots and their bombs..
By bonerguy 1164248685 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThis is the first test of a full scale H-bomb. It's not from the 60's it was detonated on October 31, 1952. It had a yeild of 10.4 mg tons. It was 500 times the size of Hiroshima. It works by using a nuclear blast to start a fusion reaction and binds hydrogen atoms together. So it could be considered a two stage device. If you think this is big check out Castle Bravo. That bad boy was 15 mg tons. If you like H-bomb stuff check out the dvd Trinity and beyond.
By ryebread107 1164230917 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removepoor humanity, we are against us...
and we love our governments a lot!!!
Here is a comparison. The nuclear bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki were between 15 and 22 Kilotonnes. The bomb in the video was 10 megatonnes and equals 10,000 kilotonnes. Altogether, the two bombings killed an estimated 110,000 Japanese citizens and injured another 130,000. By 1950, another 230,000 Japanese had died from injuries or radiation. Imagine a bomb of this magnitude being used on a city.
By vidar808 1164241542 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removenow emagine a bomb that is 1 or 2 hundred megatons!!!! that's what USA and other countries are doing right now. we are gonna to extinct ourselves, the first specie (the only one with reasoning and intelligence) that's gonna wipe itself out!!!

By feildCorp 1164616409 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeone thing that piss me of about some of todays kids, the ''imagine how big the bombs are today'' statement. no today, smaller, more precise bombs are used, please do some research and you may find a great deal of official gov documents say the very same thing, to take out the intended targets, not innocent fucksticks like yourselves, oops i mean ppl who matter
