I think he didn't lie, in the USA they use a prefabricated wall for construct their buildings called "SheetRock" os something like that. It is a really sh!t, so weak, just a thin sheet (a half of inch) of poor cement covered by cardboard. So you can't hear any regular sound from the next room; I remember when I was visiting my uncle, all the nights I heard his wife groaning as hell. By the way, now you know why their buildings collapse because of a simple fire, unless if they got not explosives. Here in Spain a building was in fire per many hours in Madrid, that was a really fukking strong fire, even so, the building didn't collapse.

sheetrock isnt meant to add to structural integrity. I actually do remodeling with my dad and in the US we use it because there are so many "do it urself" dumbasses who dont know what the hell they are doing, so its better they screw up with that so its not too hard (but it is messy) to remove. If you can hear people in another room it means someone didn't insulate the wall correctly. Sheetrock is only meant to provide limited insulation and have a surface to paint or wallpaper. There are plenty of buildings here in the US that can withstand fires and not collapse, unfortunatly that doesnt matter to much since it ends up being cheaper to tear most heavily burned buildings down rather than try and repair them. As for safety? Well, people burn, so it doesnt matter if your house's structure can withstand the fire.

are your washrooms divided by those cubicle dividers because it's unlikely you'd be able to hear a girl fart through a brick/concrete wall. Anyways, stay away from those girls at all cost. I remember back in highschool I went out with a girl who I thought was a little out of my league until I found out she could put my brother to shame in the farting category. Stay away unless you're into girls who smell like ass all the time. It's the worst in the winter when you're only option to avoid the toxic nerve gas is to open the window and freeze!
