This is a self made thunder generator with an old TV transformer from 12 Volts.
Anyone able to answer to question of about how many volts does it take to arc acrossed 1 inch of atmosphere at sealevel?
By pleeb 1164827869Do not try this unless if you are an expert and have taken all the precautions to avoid electricution. This can toast your brain if you make a mistake!
By xTruth 1168255327i had a old hydro transformer that converted 120v to 14,000. when i made the firemans ladder (jacobs ladder) this is the thranformer i used and my poles starting point was about 1" wide. the poles (coat hanger rod) were apx. 15" lond and the ark broke at about 7". one word of advice to the person with this contraption. dont run it to long in closed spaces as the ark produces ozone. extremely bad for you to breath in huge quantities. i wish i still had it around.
By panther9125 1168142714this looks so safe, im gonna try, bash bash ok i got the transformer and crap out of my tv, now let me poke a stick at it, zzzzzzzzzzzz now theres a black out and im fried....lol
