Sick of Windows Automatic Updates? Stop it in just a few clicks. Use at your own discretion!
Whoever made this video should never make any more ever again. Windows Updates are critical for system security. Do not follow this guys BAD advice. Leave auto updates alone!
By Mastertech 1167841319 Reply Spam [+11] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removedont say that is the kipkay fault just give your advise to people and let them decided
By Andreasapoel5 1185043156 Reply Spam [+2] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIt is completely his fault, he is the one recommending it. He is tired of Windows Update patching his computer every month so he does not get infected or hacked? Irresponsible to say the least.

DONT DO THAT....
Its a very bad Idea..First of all its not a TRICK, every body knows that..But every PC needs updates YOU JURK..I had to ERASE all my computer twice / 2 becouse of this...And it took me 1 month to make my computer RUN as befor becouse that STUPIDITY and its my FOUL...So if you guys do that, TRUST ME you will REGRATE...PLEASE listen to me....
1. You decided to do this. No one held a gun to your head and said "turn off automatic updates"
2. You didn't update manually.
3. You probably didn't have adequate spy-ware/virus protection.
4. You probably didn't have a good firewall.
The blame does not lie with the video creator, but solely with you.
The creator of the video NEVER recommends that you do this, only shows you HOW.
@sleepykon
The Video's Author is irresponsible for even suggesting this. By suggesting this he is implying that their is some positive reason to do this. There is no benefit to doing this except making yourself vulnerable to exploits. You have been warned: leave automatic updates on automatic.
better stop going on those cheap porn sites....

By dickhead69xxx 1167811965 Reply Spam [-2] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeto disable automatic updates. With the right hack, auto update will still work on every update from M$ EXCEPT IE7, which wants to verify that you have authentic Windows installed. And who would want it anyway? FireFox or nothing.
By MasterJedi 1164989852 Reply Spam [+3] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeive read ur arguments & this is my problem: upon auto receipt of these updates (which idk what they are til i research what was updtd), im gettin this dumb msg that YOU MAY BE A VICTIM OF ILLEGAL WINDOWS SOFTWARE. it refers me 2 the validation process which is a download that i downloaded last yr.
well i got this dumb validation msg like every 15 secs & it was so frustrating that i wanted to smash my pc. I DO HAVE THE LEGITIMATE WINDOWS XP-PROFESSIONAL software & why its tellin me i dont is unknown 2 me unless their trying 2 get me 2 purchase their updated versions e.g. VISTA program.
im sick of it all so i opted to manually install my updates so i can research whats getting installed on MY PC (it doesnt belong 2 microsoft.) i also have very good anti-virus & spyware programs & i use firefox instead of IE bc i found i was getting so many viruses when i was using IE.
this video simply gives the instructions (which i asked for) to disable the auto updates. please stop shooting the messenger b/c no 1 is forcing us 2 do anything unless we're accepting auto updates.
BTW: i have 2 restore my system 2 a previous date each time i get these updates bc they strip my pc of my chosen display themes which have nothing 2 do w/MS WINDOWS!
THANK U SO MUCH 4 THE INFO, THIS WORKS!
By tima1st 1226076941 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethats the dumbest thing ive heard.
just disable auto updates.
Sorry to tell you but theres no problem with turning auto updates off, running all my computers for 3 years no problems oh and another thing I have windows firewall disabled and I have no 3rd party firewall/ antivirus/ spyware program and guess what... no problems for like i said ...years. Just need to know what your doing when surfing the web and you wont get anything bad. MY friend who does use antivirus/ yadayada has more problems then me. ITS USELESS SOFTWARE they only want your money.
By SpideyHot 1194180659 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI also had turned them off, for over a year now, but no problem. I do update manually though. But in spite of turning them off, it does bother me every time I turn my PC on, since it makes it run considerably slow. I also tried changing the day/time for automatic updates, but to no avail.
By mit4ever 1211236479 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveNEVER DO THIS AT HOME YOU WILL GET VIRUSES OR SPIWARE BECAUSE OF THIS
OR SMETIMES - BOTH! BICIDES THERES AN EASIER WAY OF TURNING THE UPDATES OFF!
OOOH it's illegal you jackasses microsoft is not all powerful some of there updates are untested and unproven I prefer to wait for a while untill all the bugs are worked out and then download the updates and I don't like being bothered every damn time I turn my pc on this is good for people who know how to operate software
By mojo755 1165032402 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveAs I said above, I've them turned off
By mit4ever 1211236584 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveFirst of all please list all the problems with Windows Updates vs. leaving your system vulnerable. This is an idiotic argument made by someone who has no concept of the security ramifications of leaving your system unpatched. Once these updates are public the exploits become widely used and if you don't patch you are VULNERABLE!

By Sleepyjon 1164413192 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWhen Vista comes out....then it'll be Vista tips :p
Some are ok....most are a waste of time
This kipkay guy is a moron who likes making dollars out of giving BAD advice. So getting updates once a month on tuesdays is a constant annoyance. Did you ever stop to think why Micsosoft is updating their operating system? Could it be to plug security holes or to make their operating system better or could it be simply to constantly annoy kipkay and his moronic followers?
