    I'm from Connecticut i'be been playing BlackJack for years here at MOHEGAN SUN and FOXWOODS. Tonight i decided to play omega card counting, so i went at a $15 bet table (6 decks), me against the dealer. To be honest somewhere in the middle of the game i start losing control an saw myself weak playing i was $100 down, immediately i stop playing, walking around and thinking "mentally how can i be satisfed on myself if a continue play that method". So i decided play $200 struggling to focus and count...so i went play with other players, last spot and when the value was plus 2, plus 3 i did raised the bet a little, hoping for "tens" cards....anyhow at the end of shoe i was $200 up, i cashed my chips but still i wasn't 100%what i was doing, or what to do. Looks like need more practice out there with small bets and I DID LOVE playing that way in BlackJack strategy.

    • As with anything you just need practice....

      Here a few tips if you really want to increase your chances. 1) If you have a spare 10mins just do what this guy did and run throught the deck it will become easier everytime.
      2) Casinos are well aware of card counting and although it is not illegal they really do not like it and you will find youself on the blacklist if you are obvious about it or are varying the bets too much i.e dont bet 5 dollars a hand and then when the deck is hot start throwing $100 bets down. The best way to do this is to use another person.....Get a friend and enter the casino seperately.... Let him sit at a table for a while and do the counting, they should bet the minimum most of the time. When the deck is hot they should signal you (As subtle as possible i.e scarching face etc...) when you get the signal then move to the table do not sit next to him. start wagering larger amounts of money and hopefully you will be able to benefit off the hot deck. One thing I would advise is that once you are at the table your friend should no longer take any cards even if they have 11! The last thing you need is for your friend to waste a high card and win $5. You need all the -1 cards possible.
      Once you master this technique you can move on to a more advanced and accurate counting system that in return will give you a better idea of what cards are coming.
      Remember this is not a guarantee. I have seen some of the best card counters in Vegas walk out a few thousand down so do not be put off if you loose from time to time also remember that these guys do it for a living so if you think there are people counting at your table the best thing to do is leave, how would you like it if someone came to your office and took your paycheck! Have fun and dont get caught.

    the omega card counting strategy, and it does work. It's one thing to count cards in the privacy of your own home, but in the casino is much different. While playing with 5 other players the cards can start going by very quickly...also, the amount of noise in the casino will completely mess up your concentration. Drunk players, smoke being blown in your face, people trying to talk to you...all of these things mess up your math. To simulate card counting in your home, have 4 other friends talk to you, while playing the music you hate the most.

    Also, dealers and security cant "accuse" you of counting cards. If one particular table has less money in the drop boxes at the end of the hour, (consistently) the pit bosses will start looking at the players. If they suspect you of card counting, they will say "you're blackjack game is too strong for our casino" or something like that then...and they'll ask you to leave, but they wont 86 you. Im from vegas =)

    It's called Bringing Down the House ny Ben Mezrich. It tells the story of a bunch of MIT students who came up with a group play system to beat the house and stay undetected... And then of what happened to them once Vegas found out what they were doing! If you're into blackjack - read that book (partially available on google books). You'll like it.

      that one is really borderline. You're only at a Plus 2 count (as apposed to 4 or 5, etc) and you generally want to play "by the book", only using "counting" to vary the amount you bet (of course, the more skilled counter you are, the more you can involve the count in your actual "in game" decisions). in your case, I'd say, "yes, take a hit."

    New Casino's now a days mostly got what they called one to six machine (automatic shuffling machine) in which cards are place back after the game or that particular hand that was dealt, so i don't think card counting would be effective. Only one thing you must remember when gambling "patience". I got a friend who is now a millionaire because of gambling. ...I forgot to tell you my friend before was a billionaire. Patience Brother!

    and had been around for several years but casinos have spotters, surveillance cameras, and the dealers themselves are trained to spot card counters, which in most casinos worldwide is illegal, you would then be blacklisted, try it and maybe within 2 hours of playing a security personnel would then kindly ask you to leave.

    At any casino that deals single deck blackjack... and won't notice you raising and lowering your bets when the deck is or isn't in your favor... and once you are known as a card counter, good luck getting in a casino, much less sit at a blackjack table.

      who didn't watch the entire video. It works with multiple shoe games, as well. You just add the wrinkle of dividing by the number of decks left to be dealt.

      And as far as raising and lowering your bets, if you're doing it within reason, there's no problem. I suggest starting with a 3 to 1 ratio. If you're minimum bet is $5, raise it to $15 on the hands where the 'true count' is in your favor.

    So your saying if 5 ppl were at the table and all hands have been dealt. and the running card count is 2 or greater. the probability for the dealer busting is increased. cause I usually play the dealers hand, has I been told is the best method of playin blackjack.

    In addition that would increase my chances of winning a hand If I hold a hand showing 13 or 14 or 15 or 16 or 17 or any "Statisticaly favorable type hands" such as Dubleing down on 10, 11, if the dealer shows 9 or less. etc
