Thanks to guitar hero, there are audio clips of each instrument solo on songs that were featured in the game.

Because of this, I was able to take the vocals of Hetfield, bass of Burton and drums of Ulrich and add my own guitar parts!

All of the audio was done in garageband. 2 rhythm tracks (left and right) and then a solo done with a third track. All parts done in one take.

The video was shot playing to the garageband cover after it was finished. I had some complaints about not being seen playing the song, so recorded myself playing to the audio and then I deleted the audio from the movie clip and added the garageband file.

This way, you still get the better clarity and polished effort achieved from recording guitars with garageband, but you still get to see me playing the cover.
