Here's an example of a mid-century home built by the Alexander Construction Company in 1959, in Palm Springs' Racquet Club Estates. This was designed by William Krisel, FAIA. There has been a large addition to the back of the house, not part of the original plan. This is somewhat typical of the condition of what we would call a "fixer." This home sold in the low $200,000s. Fixed up, in the curred market (Aug '09) it could sell in the mid $400,000s.
