    I grew up watching van dammes movies, he is one of my favorite actors. I don't care what people say about him i think he's a great martial arts master. I suggest you read more about him and make little research before adding a stupid comment and yeah... Bolo Yeung is great too. He was in Enter the Dragon ;)

    the best fighters are in k1 and pride circuit.not in the movies.old movies.i dont deni that is not a good teacher but he has no experience in fighting comparing with real fighters from k1.who knows maybe we well see him one day in k1.

      The answer is so easy. K1 fighters have all day to train to become the best. Van Damme is a actor. How can he train himself in k1 when he is in the movie industry. No time for that, he has to built a script, meeting with producers, meeting with his fans, meeting the movie crew, training for the movie, go around the world in festivals (Cannes...) do repetition, family, etc.....put this style of life in a k1 fighter and ask him to be the best of the best. Impossible.

      You have the choice: Be an action movie star, or be a world best fighter. Impossible to do both ! It is a different life-style. LP Quebec.

      Dirt-claude Van Damnit is just a ballet dancer/body builder who learned some martial arts in order to break into film. Van Damnit is a "good" martial artist, a little above average, but nothing compared to the masters out there. Americans just seem to think that whoever is in the most movies is the baddest. That being said, Bruce Lee was authentic, and spent a couple decades of hard work in the arts. And to his credit, Bolo must have the longest career in martial arts films! How long has he been making movies? anyone know? It's gotta be over 30 years, and damn! he still looks good!

    Van Damme is the best martial arts actor, only second to Bruce Lee.

    His movies are the most entertaining and Bloodsport was by far my most favorite movie.

    And I agree w/ ‎ygalanana that he should come back for atleast one more movie.
