The kora is a beautiful 21-string African Harp instrument played by the traditional storytellers of West Africa, known as griots in French, and jeli, jali, guewel, or gawlo in African languages. This kora video features Mohammed Salieu Suso, a native of Gambia, playing in his adopted home of New York City. The piece is an original composition celebrating Barack Obama's election.

Kora can be found in a number of African countries, including Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Mali, Senegal, Burkina Faso, and Gambia.

This video was produced by Kornhaber Brown, a NYC-based web video production and marketing company.
