...how do you think we should download the program if we are loged out of the pc?

i did everything as you did but my downlaoding of trinity rescue 3.1 took 2 and half hours then i burned it on a cd and it was an image to disc burn then i put the cd in my laptop and everything came up but right when i typed in winpass i notice that my screen says"cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory" .. error with loading file.. i did everything as you did what did i do wrong???

I did the download, made a bootable disk in Nero ... at winpass it gives an error!

Is there a way to hack the password without chaning it?
Because my dad would kill me if he finds out that i'm trying to hack his computer. :(

i downloaded the software and it was running smoothly until i got to the point where i typed in "winpass" after that is said to you want to continue and as the instructions said i pressed the "enter" key. it then went downhill from there and i can't seem to work it. anybody know what i can do?

Look im not gonna lie...im a 16 yr old wanting to hack into my computer after my dad grounded me...but thats a completly unrelated not and if ur feedback is something along the line of "u should listen yo ur dad" shove it...

ANYWAY im not the most computer savvy person in the world and i was wondering if i messed up (Typo, wrong button, etc..) If it would do any damage to the computer or if my dad would have to fix it... in short im asking if this is a safe thing for a person like me

Again I only post this to help you guys out to understand. A system with an old BIOS is a bad system. The only way into someones system to hack it is through your bios is the most part. But if your system stays up to date on the BIOS Trust me there is little a hacker can do or noting at all.(Man I just Gave My Hacker days away lol). But seriously Get a new Motherboard and you will see your security will override MAC with vista Sercurity. It plays hand in hand Vista security with Bios security power system. Can't get hacked. That is why windows 7 is coming out for people who just rely on Dell and PC manufactures for their PC. Windows 7 will not rely on any bios of any motherboard. But that is another story.But yes if your bios is up to date and Microsoft security's are too, antiviruses is and always was a thing of the past for vista. I just can't stress the fact enough Please get a motherboard that you can up date your bios to the most recent one they have. And no one can bypass you Trust me. Me and my friends try it on our own PC's to try to invent the best destruction for vista and Buddy not one yet. Vista on dells and HP's and all manufactured pc's please peace of cake to mess it up. For bios was always figuered out, But you can't figure something out if it is always getting updated. HA HA. Do yourself and vista a favor please stop getting Dell and manufactuered copmputers PLEASE. Just change your motherboard to a intel motherboard. Forget Dell and all other manufactured PC"S. It cost about $70 dollars for a new motherboard, and you will see that for it always has a up to date bios. RAM problems will never be a issue. That is how Dell makes money do you think they will really keep your bios up to date, they will loose money if you don't buy more PC's Intel does not care to keep you up to date for life for they make their real money selling Dell and all pc manufactures their motherboards. They don't rely on the money of the small person like Dell or all the other pc manufactures out there. Tell me is your bios dated oct 1 2008 Mine is.IF not that is your problem not windows Vista. It is a classic case of bios attack.

You see, you guys love MAC and that is good, But also did Bill Gates, So as you can see the love he had for MAC, He invented his OS around The likes of MAC. So yes I tell you MAC is good But vista rocks NOW. I( been running my PC with no type of antivirus for EIGHT Years NOW and I never caught a virus. And I run LIMEWIRE like crazy and see all I want to on the net without getting a virus. Just to check I install a anti virus every now and then and still it comes up clean so I uninstall it again. The problem here with People is that they don't know how to use PC"S at all. They try to run a new OS on a old pc,(upgrade) and Vista just don't work that way. It's a new DAy and a new PC is in stock. And Please don't try to get manufactured PC's (Dell,GAteway,etc..) for that is the major problem with windows is the third party company's. Build your own PC. Get a motherboard that is from INtel Essential Etc.. And build it yourself. All computer manufactures set their bios to not update after some years so without an good study bios update windows starts to acted up. and that is the real problem here.If you build your PC from scratch as I did you always get a new bios UPDAte at Intel.com for your pc. and trust me guys I never crashed yet in eight years having my PC. And viruses just never got one. No one has invented a good stern virus for vista yet you know why? Because people like you don't like vista. So they have no time to make a virus for something they know noting about. So go on hating vista as I love that for yeah it is like mac in the sense that the reson MAC does not get a virus is that no one cares to make one for MAc. So no one cares to make it for vista. trust me my PC stays fast. without ever really cleaning it or noting. VISTA really is a die hard system. And on A secret note all XP users get hacked by VISTA users.

Just because you can run a boot cd to get the password off your vista. It does not mean it can be easily hacked. All systems down to windows 95 had this option to rescue your password. Nick who ever you are please know what you talk about before you type in stupid comments. It is not easily hacked from another computer or desk top But if you sit in front of any PC or Mac with a rescue cd Sorry to tell you it will be hacked. That is why the CD is invented to get back into your PC. And If you let noone use your PC unauthorized you don't have to worry about being hacked.

It may have worked before but doesnt work anymore on Vista. Password shows as already blank so there is no space for it.

when i wanted to change password when i booted it said that the password was changed but when i rebooted and clicked on the user to write the password it told me wrong password. then i rebooted and chose the option to remove password and it worked. how can i change pw?

i can't run the .iso cd on my dell ispiron1520. when i go to cmos and run through the cd/dvd it wont go through.. please help me. :( thanks

Thank you so much for taking the time to produce this. I first paid for a program and it did not work. Any one complaining are not following the instructions properly. You have to make sure you shut down windows properly from the Icon on the login screen. Also you have to make a bootable cd. Thank you again, you saved the day.

I have window vista on a dell. Will it work for it too, or not?

i download the program and when i insert and boot from cd...it just sits there for almost 10 mins then boots normally

I put the trinity rescue CD in, it loads up properly, i then press 1 enter to let it do its thing, it goes black for a while, then linux comes up and just stops loading, i waited about 10 minutes, should it take this long?? PLEZZE HELP!

i can do everything but when i type in winpass i get an message sayin that it cant find it and i have to re enter winpass again and it still does the same thing help me out!!??

ok till i typed winpass, asks if i want to forsce , i answer yes then no valid windows instalation found ,, anyone have any answers?

hey, i DL the program TRK version 3.3.
i follow all your steps until winpass, press enter and... i gave me two options, i guess 2 versions, i press enter and gave me other line, [1020], any idea whats wrong, or what i did wrong.

its an artform! worked perfectly. Never tried to get in through a distro before. cudos. Also for those of u askin how to get around cmos passwords you dont even have to remove the battery (as some are soldered in) simply ocate the cable from the battery or the cable from the battery to the jumper and dsconnect it. MAke sure you leave unconnected for at least ten minutes as to discharge capacitor which also stores power(and remembers sh!t). If this fails, open bttom of laptop, unplug all cable and plugs, wait ten minutes then plug in and reboot. CMOS pass should be reset.

Can do XP in about 45 seconds. Pretty sure it does every version of windows including vista. Havent tried it on vista though.

Vista can only succesfully run on macs anyways. so bootcamp is handy.

This is not hacking. The only thing you did was access the windows filesystem via linux and use a utility to overwrite the current password. It does not return the existing password which is much more valuable. So if you have physical access and don't get about being at least a little sneaky about it, sure this works to reset a password.

Talk about a BS program..this is really bad.and it dosen't work in Vista and there is no RC2 Beta Version
